dogfoot Posted March 6, 2025 Posted March 6, 2025 I updated all of my PIN2DMDs to the latest firmware except when I tried to update the last one it bricked. The PIN2DMD was working great. It is based on the Nucleo F429ZI board to the latest firmware. I saw an "UPDATE" message and then the display went black. I've tried to connect it to my Windows 10 PC to reflash with no luck. The device is powered by an external 5V source, and it does power up. Things I have tried: Different USB cables Different USB ports on my PC Both the USB USER and USB PWR ports on the Nucleo Removing both jumpers at CN4 Both ST-LINK and STM32CubeProgrammer Both say "ST-LINK not found" I have a feeling I'm doing something wrong with the cabling or perhaps the drivers in Windows 10, but I don't know how to debug it from here. Any help would be appreciated.
Content Provider lucky1 Posted March 7, 2025 Content Provider Posted March 7, 2025 Only the ST-Link USB port is for programming. The user is for pin2dmd application only When you connect the ST-Link USB port to your PC does anything change in the Windows devixe manager
dogfoot Posted March 10, 2025 Author Posted March 10, 2025 Ok so I plugged in to the USB user and plugged it into my PC with device manager up, and nothing changed. I have two solid green lights on the board, one solid green on the PIN2DMD board, and a fast flashing red and slow flashing red led.
