SlippyTpoad Posted March 1, 2025 Posted March 1, 2025 (edited) I seem to go round in circles with the POV for the playfield and was wondering how others are setting their POVs I have a 27 inch monitor for the playfield at 1080x1920 using 'windows' mode. I started off by chopping off the instruction cards so that I could zoom the playfield in to best fit the screen. I then decided that I preferred the instruction card to be included but this made the table longer and I had some unused space along the sides. It makes some tables look narrow and I don't want to stretch them wider as it looks distorted. I don't mind a bit of unused space along the sides but I then started to mess with the Y/Z setting (I think it was) to try to lay back the end of the playfield so I could then zoom in further and also add a bit of depth but I'm not sure I prefer it having a non perpendicular playfield to the sides of the monitor (in respect to the length) . I love how customisable the camera is but I just end up forever tinkering with it What do you guys have yours set at? Edited March 1, 2025 by SlippyTpoad
deadmanworking Posted March 1, 2025 Posted March 1, 2025 @SlippyTpoad, like probably many users you might keep on tinkering with it forever I also have a 27" playfield with 6 degree inclination towards the back of the cab so for older tables I usually go with 0 inclination, newer tables around 3 degrees (in legacy mode). Still have most tables in legacy mode but shifting gradually to windows mode, if you set your dimensions and positions in the video settings you can hit the plunge key and be presented with 2 different default views as a starting point. Can also recommend to watch how others set up their povs on YouTube, another great resource is from @Thalamus who posted the povs of all his tables which might also be good to check out for some pointers.

Thanks - I do have the cabinet dimensions set which really does help. Will check out the Thalamus stuff Cheers
