Scorpions est un groupe de hard rock allemand formé à Hanovre en 1965 par le guitariste Rudolf Schenker.

La formation la plus longue et la plus réussie du groupe, de 1978 à 1992, était composée de Schenker, Klaus Meine (chant), Matthias Jabs (guitare solo), Francis Buchholz (basse) et Herman Rarebell (batterie).

Le seul membre permanent du groupe est Schenker, bien que Meine soit avec le groupe en permanence depuis leur premier album Lonesome Crow (1972).

Jabs est un membre régulier depuis 1978, tandis que le bassiste Paweł Mąciwoda et le batteur Mikkey Dee font partie du groupe depuis respectivement 2003 et 2016.

Lonesome Crow comptait Michael Schenker à la guitare avant qu'il ne rejoigne UFO.

Il a été remplacé par Uli Jon Roth, qui était avec le groupe pour leurs quatre albums studio suivants, Fly to the Rainbow (1974), In Trance (1975), Virgin Killer (1976) et Taken by Force (1977), et leur premier album live Tokyo Tapes (1978).

Après le départ de Roth, le groupe recrute Matthias Jabs et commence à s'orienter vers un style rock plus mélodique sur leur sixième album studio Lovedrive (1979), qui voit également les Scorpions retrouver Michael Schenker avant qu'il ne parte à nouveau pour poursuivre une carrière solo.

Au cours de la décennie suivante, le groupe a gagné en influence, en reconnaissance critique et en succès commercial significatif avec les albums Animal Magnetism (1980), Blackout (1982), Love at First Sting (1984), l'album live World Wide... Live (1985), Savage Amusement (1988), l'album compilation Best of Rockers 'n' Ballads (1989) et Crazy World (1990), qui ont tous été certifiés platine ou multiplatine aux États-Unis.

Le groupe a sorti trois albums studio consécutifs dans le top 10 en Allemagne, dont l'un a atteint la première place, ainsi que trois albums consécutifs dans le top 10 du Billboard 200 aux États-Unis. Leur dernier album studio, Rock Believer, est sorti en février 2022.

On estime que les Scorpions ont vendu plus de 100 millions de disques dans le monde, ce qui en fait l'un des groupes de hard rock et de heavy metal les plus vendus.

L'un de leurs tubes les plus connus est "Wind of Change" (extrait de Crazy World), hymne symbolique des changements politiques en Europe de l'Est à la fin des années 1980 et au début des années 1990 et de la chute du mur de Berlin, et il reste l'un des singles les plus vendus au monde avec plus de 14 millions d'exemplaires. 

Deux chansons de leur neuvième album studio Love at First Sting, "Rock You Like a Hurricane" et "Still Loving You", sont considérées comme certaines des œuvres les plus influentes et les plus populaires de la musique heavy metal et des ballades rock, définies comme "un hymne rock" et "un véritable hymne d'amour", respectivement.

Anyone else having issues with the apron not showing? If I go into the settings I can "turn on" that layer but then the apron is oriented wrong. And for some reason this pup doesn't fill my entire third screen. But it's a nice table! 

 

Just need to figure out what's going on with the apron and pup...

Infnty X2: Just found a fix of sorts if you're interested. I remembered that the Bloodsport table on my rig did the same thing until I found a VPX version that worked so I tried if for Scorpions. If you use VPX 10.7.4 the apron shows normally. But note: you'll need to open it in VPX 10.7.4 first and then hit save in that VPX version or you'll get an error box at start up saying the table was created with a newer version of VPX. I also hit FN F1 and turned off the rom sounds. Hope that helps you.

I think the author issued an update that included music files if you don't already have them in your library

Looks like an awesome table, but for some reason I can't get it to load. I keep getting an error box, "can't start game fpwr2_l2s Game not found!"

Am I using the wrong rom? I can't find the fpwr2_l2s rom, so am using fpwr2_l2.

For the fix on the apron    go into script  

line 138     change so it reads        Primitive13.visible=1   this will show the apron image
