SquashBacher Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Hi all, I've been having an issue trying to get the openGL version of VPX to keep the external DMD on top of the playfield. I have the following set in my dmddevice.ini file: ; a DMD that renders with nice dots on a computer monitor [virtualdmd] enabled = true ; virtual dmd stays on top of all other windows stayontop = true I also have my video/graphics settings on windowed, including for specific table overrides. The DMD displays on top just fine for the DirectX version, and it will also work in OpenGL if I set the window resolution to be smaller than my actual monitor resolution. Any ideas?
Rappelbox Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 thats a "feature" of the GL version, unfortunately. more techsavvy people than me could explain in detail whats exactly causing the issue. same is happening with the F1 - Vpinmame menu, you have to alt+tab to see it.

I was hoping to exclusively use GL as the exe for my frontend since it can auto-detect a headset connection, but I think instead I'll settle for manually switching the exe between GL and DirectX depending on if I'm using VR or not.
