I recently updated my cabinet to support the 64bit version of VPX 10.8 along with vPinMame, DmdExt, etc. All of my other tables have been working fine expect Red & Ted. The game stutters extremely poorly, to what appears to be like 5fps. Key presses are very unresponsive. The pinname voices work fine but once a game is started you can tell how the voices are normal speed but finish their starting line before Red’s mouth is even done moving.  It is really bad.

I am using the VPW one from this link:

The problem is definitely somehow related to being in 64bit because when using the 32bit version it plays fine.  I’ve cleared nvram, I’ve redownloaded the table, and rom.  Nothing seems to work.

I have not had problems with any of the other VPW releases, even the ones that only work in 64bit.  I tried it with and without the Backglass to ensure that it wasn’t B2SServer getting in the way.  I also tried Funhouse since that too has the talking head mechanism in case that was somehow the cause but that table ran smoothly.

My specs are an i5-10500 with RTX 2060 running the playfield on a 40” 1080p 60fps monitor so I should not be pushing this setup at all.

Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

With it being a single table having this problem it has me thinking there must be something unique about this table. I love all of VPW’s releases.

Red and Ted is a comparatively light table, there's probably a file conflict somewhere on your end, make sure all your support files are 64bit and maybe clear your nvram / cfg files for it.

64bit is faster in all ways, so something funky is up.
