DJDUFFER26 Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 Hi guys, my name is Giuseppe and I'm an Italian guy. It's been about a year since I approached this fantastic world. I've almost finished building my taxi but I can't solve a problem with my vibrating motor. I'll start by saying that I use a voltage regulator. My problem is the following: when I turn the voltage regulator wheel the motor doesn't start. If I start a table the motor works at maximum power (which is too strong for my taxi). I also tried to change the values in the DOF under the motor shaker voice but nothing always works at maximum speed. I'll upload an image of how I did the wiring. Unfortunately I've read the guide on "http://mjrnet.org/" several times, I've also seen some videos but I can't solve it. I hope you can help me. Thank you
LynnInDenver Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 You need to have the shaker connected to a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) capable output on the controller board to be able to better control the speed.
DJDUFFER26 Posted November 19, 2024 Author Posted November 19, 2024 yes indeed it is connected to a PWM port (PTA4), I would like to know if the wiring I did is correct
LynnInDenver Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 First, patience. This is the middle of the work week for most people, and you're asking for help with a hobby. Unfortunately that cuts into people's ability to help you quickly. Second, do you have photos of your setup, not a Paint made diagram of store images? And not just an overview, also take some photos of each component in your install (no store image downloads please, we need photos of the parts installed in your cabinet) and highlight where you've made the connections. Have a screenshot of the DOFConfig cabinet configuration for the shaker? Links to the models of controller and shaker motor you're using? It's actually incredibly difficult to figure out how to help you without more information, and your Paint made diagram actually provides very very little. This actually compounds against the ability to help you quickly, as part of what people would have to do right now is attempt to research what you're using from nothing but fuzzy unlinked store images. Third, many shaker motors will stall out trying to start at anything less than full power. You might need to experiment with tiny little adjustments to find what the absolute minimum required setting is for your combination.
DJDUFFER26 Posted November 20, 2024 Author Posted November 20, 2024 I apologize if I rushed, it won't happen again. Tonight when I get home I will take the real photos plus the screenshot of the configuration in DOFConfig. I will also post the connections of the controllers and shaker motor that I am using. A thousand thanks!!
DJDUFFER26 Posted November 20, 2024 Author Posted November 20, 2024 Good evening guys, I finally solved the problem, it was in the wrong connections. the negative power should go to the negative of the controller. thank you very much and I wish you a good evening
