Hi folks.

Been away from the hobby for about a decade, so I apologize if this is a newb question, or the wrong group.

Attempting to install the following table:

Funhouse (MOD) nFozzy, Fleep Sounds, LUT
By Gedankekojote97
Submitted May 2, 2022  Version 1.1
File: Funhouse_(1.1).rar

The included readme states that the above patch requires (and links to) the original table ("Funhouse (Williams 1990) 2.0b") and it lists V10.7 as the required engine.

I've run the patcher on the original table, and it appears to patch without issue.

I've paired the table with the following from VPUniverse:

Funhouse (Williams 1990) b2s with Full DMD

And ROM fh_905h per table documentation above.

Unfortunately, there are no ROM sounds audible.  I can hear table sounds (ball rolling, plunger etc.) just fine, so I know it's not a volume issue as I have also set the ROM volume to 31 using the 7/8/9/END options.

Using the Latest Baller Installer (fresh install).  All other tables, with the exception of this one have sound.  I am not using surround sound of any kind, just a gutted/repurposed A1Up cab with additional hardware.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you.  That solved my lack of ROM sound.  I'm having a similar issue with Space Invaders, does that also require a second ROM.  Perhaps someone could update the Funhouse table/patch file to point out that it requires a second ROM?  Might save others significant grief moving forward.   Now if only I could figure out how to increase Rudy's volume and/or lower the music volume I'd have half a chance of being able to understand what it is he says.  The Visual Pinball settings don't seem to have any impact.  Have an awesome day.

VPinMAME has a Test button in the Setup executable that can be used to check the rom set. It's a feature (that in a way is a bug) that VPinMAME will happily try to run any set that you offer it. It'll go ahead and initialize the machine without sound roms as long as the game code is present.
