I'm looking into options for an art project I want to work on - I want to be able to find DMD frames for a lot of popular games, especially TSPP, LOTR, AfM, MM, TAF, and LW3 (for personal reasons). I found a few dumps around, and was able to view them in Media Pinball Editor, and that might work but they are not exactly what I'm looking for, because they only contain files from whatever the person creating the dump decided to do in the game. This makes it difficult to find screens from rare modes in games, especially difficult wizard modes. Also I would prefer to view them in pin2DMD.

What is the simplest way for me to just view all the DMD frames for a game?

There is no way to get the frames like displayed in gameplay without playing the game. However you can use vpx to simulate a gameplay und control the ball movement with your mouse to trigger the events you want to capture in your dmd dump file.

You need to gzip the txt files and import them into the pin2dmd editor After that you can play it back on the usb connected pin2dmd using the preview function.

In the first half of this tutorial you can see how to create a dump file.
