tommkell Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Hi all I've been working on updating the table brightness dynamically by using an ambient light sensor to detect actual brightness in the room. This is only in its infancy so needs tweaked but results are good so far! I'll add some pics/videos + if anyone is interested in helping to make this some kind of standard it would be much appreciated PXL_20241020_090148094.LS.mp4 This is the sensor (will be fitted properly later) + a video showing the brightness change when it's covered, simulating a drop in ambient lighting Hopefully this will become a thing + I think it adds another layer of realism to VPX!
Content Provider wrd1972 Posted November 7, 2024 Content Provider Posted November 7, 2024 Thanks for tackling this. This is an endeavor that I have long been waiting for. My Pincab sits right next to an exterior glass door and the varying degrees of lighting differences make it frustrating to play at times. I also dont like really bright tables in a very dark room. This sounds awesome. So where do you currently stand on this? I would love to test this on my end and contribute to the development. Are you in a position to share the resources it takes to do this?
