anarkizt Posted October 1, 2024 Posted October 1, 2024 Hello, I was just wondering if it is possible to get the PinDMD3 to show 60 frames per second? To me it feels a bit sluggish now(? could be imagination also :D). From the documentation I get that the default is 25 frames per second (correct?). There is an example in the documentation how to mirror 60 fps from Pinball fx2 using dmdext. But is the same possible using the dll for VPX and VPinMame?? I can't see anything regarding this in the .ini-file. Sorry if this is a stupid question.
PastorLUL Posted October 3, 2024 Posted October 3, 2024 (edited) Hi, Not a stupid question at all. ZeDMD (which basically is your PinDMD3) runs with an esp32. This esp32 currently only supports a specific usb data transfer rate that really doesn't exceed 20-30fps. We can only hope that WiFi will improve this, but the claim of it being able to run at 60fps is just not true. Edited October 3, 2024 by PastorLUL
