clemon79 Posted September 28, 2024 Posted September 28, 2024 (edited) I have an issue I've just been recently seeing. On a couple of newly installed tables that use FlexDMD/UltraDMD (specifically Willy Wonka and Time Lord 3) I'm having an issue with my ZeDMD HD crashing and resetting itself. It acts like it's getting overloaded or something, flashes out, and then reboots. (The DMD on the actual FullDMD monitor works fine.) I recently put an 850W Gold PSU in the cabinet so I don't think underpowering is the problem (and this doesn't manifest ANYWHERE but these two tables - standard emulated DMDs are fine). Is my ESP32 dying? Is the envelope being pushed and this might be the kind of thing upgrading to an ESP32-S3 might be able to fix? Edited September 28, 2024 by clemon79

Just a FYI, I posted a link to your post on the Help-ZeDMD Discord channel for more visibility.

Content Provider zedrummer Posted October 1, 2024 Content Provider Posted October 1, 2024 I've been testing with firmware 3.6.0, the dmdext you can download here https://ci.appveyor.com/project/freezy/dmd-extensions with this dmddevice.ini file https://mega.nz/file/3UB1jYwY#fTLnFtkygucfqjG8jsMAcnADPtxcmD57f7_SLXdYZpg (be sure to remove any zedmd[64].dll and serum[64].dll in your vpinmame folder) and everything is perfectly working. This is not smooth for UltraDMD (Diablo introduction played for more than 10 minutes) on my ZeDMD HD via USB. But still, no crash or freeze.
