Hello, I am running  Visual Pinball v10.8.0 Beta Rev 1947 (3d3f101) 64 Bit and it launches fine, the ball launches, DMD looks good, there are zero errors, and the ball moves around on the playfield but the flippers are totally dead. They do not move at all. Of the 600+ tables I have this is the first one I have seen with this problem. Is there a way to fix this on my end?

Thanks.

I remember that I had to edit my settings after updating to 10.8 once. check preferences, konfig keys and have check. All keys and buttons settings are ok?

Yes the flippers are still bound to Left and Right shift buttons on the keyboard. All my other games work fine. And I have seen the issue with some tables where the flippers are stuck in the up position, but with this Fish Tales table they are just not functional at all.

My next hint is to have no other 3.party usb controller plugged in. (I had that problem once) You say, its the only table with that problem? vpinmame version?
10.8 is storing all settings in C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\VPinballX\VPinballX.ini - if you delete or remove that file, you can reset 10.8

Nothing else plugged in when playing using the keyboard. As a matter of fact, I sometimes use an XBox controller to play my Pinball FX3 tables (XBox Game on PC), because of the feedback, however I tried this table with the controller plugged in, and no good there either. I may just call it a day, and delete this table and just stick to the one on FX3. Might be un-fixable.

Also... As in the original post...

I am using v10.8.0 RC 5  64-Bit. I have tried the GL version too. Nothing. Dead flippers.

What table?? Were you trying to post this in a specific table support thread?

Sorry, I clicked on the Get Support button on that table's main page. It sent me here. Yeah the table is specifically Fish Tales (The newest one).  Fish Tales (Williams 1992) VPW 1.1.vpx

You're using an incompatible version of VPX for this recently updated table. You must bring your software up to date as per the minimum requirements listed in the table description:

Version 1.1 Required Software (64-bit versions):

VPX 10.8.0 RC4 or later: https://github.com/vpinball/vpinball/releases/tag/v10.8.0-1975-051104c

VPinMame 3.6.0-998 or later: https://github.com/vpinball/pinmame/releases/tag/v3.6.0-998-a77c2d2

B2S Server 2.1.2 or later (if B2S used): https://github.com/vpinball/b2s-backglass/releases/tag/v2.1.2Stand

Ok, so I updated everything to the latest versions. Made no difference at all. Everything works except Flippers in Fish Tales. I guess I will just wait until a fixed version of this table comes out. Thanks everyone.

I found another copy of Fish Tales that is only 44 Megs in size..
Fish Tales VPX v1.1 - pinball58.vpx
(This table works and plays perfectly!)

The Broken one which is a bloated 438 Megs still has broken flippers. So I will delete that one.
Fish Tales (Williams 1992) VPW 1.1.vpx

Thanks your assistance. Maybe someday a newer version of the Fish Tales (Williams 1992) VPW table will come out that works.

There is nothing wrong with the VPW table, it is being enjoyed by thousands of users. The version you found from pinball58 is old and does not require the newest software; it is also inferior to the much newer VPW table in just about every way. Even if VPW released an update, it will not solve the issue for you because you continue to have software installation problems. You still do not have the correct version of VPinMame installed.

Go here:  https://github.com/vpinball/pinmame/releases/tag/v3.6.0-998-a77c2d2 and scroll down, download the following 2 files:

VPinMAME-sc-3.6.0-998-a77c2d2-win-x64.zip

VPinMAME-sc-3.6.0-998-a77c2d2-win-x86.zip

After you've unzipped and copied the files into your VPINMAME folder overwriting existing files (maybe except for vpmalias if you've customized it) you'll need to run the setup64.exe and click INSTALL. Then run setup.exe and click INSTALL. Then exit and try running the VPW table again, all should work now (if it does not post a screenshot of your VPINMAME setup screen as below)

I tried your suggestion. Still no flippers. It is ok, like I said, the older table plays perfectly, and I have FX3 version from Zen Studios that also plays perfectly. I can live with 1 in 600+ Virtual Pinball tables being a total dud. At least all the other tables play without issues.

For me, it works perfectly (Desktop mode).

VPX 10.8.0 RC4 (64-bit), VPinMAME 3.6 (32-bit and 64-bit), B2S v2.1.2...

Not sure if this helps, but I've been running RC5 10.8 GL without an issue... That was up until yesterday. Was playing Attack from Mars and sadly having a great game when my flippers stopped working. Popper... No issues. Flipper buttons were moving me left to right as designed. I left my 10.7 on my cab for those tables I still enjoy playing that have not yet been updated. I opened my settings within 10.7 and then opened 10.8 to compare, specifically in the Nudge options. I found a few settings not checked in 10.8, but we're in 10.7. I made those changes (mirrored my 10.8 to my 10.7) and flippers are back. If you need a picture of my settings, happy to help you.
