Pinevent V2 tables won't use full DMD

Question

Posted

I have Future Pinball installed and working fine in Popper.  The included Retro Flair table works fine on three screens with full DMD.  However, any other Pinevent V2 table I install, like Sonic Spinball, will only display on two screens.  So, if I choose the three screen BAT file in the pup pack, it still shows the DMD stuff on the backglass.  Other BAT options work fine, but for some reason three screen won't work, with the exception of Retro Flair.   I'm at a loss with this one!

You mean the FullDMD and videos from the table's pup-pack are shown on your third screen, but you can still see FP's Backbox and DMD on your backglass monitor?

You are required to disable the FP Backbox when using pup-packs so the FP Backbox won't cover the pup backglass displays (and if you didnt setup FP's Backbox correctly to being with, it may shift everything around if its using the wrong resolution for the backbox, etc). How to disable the FP Backbox per table is covered in the Install Instructions included with every PinEvent table, and in the Popper and Baller Installer Tips Guide included with the FP and BAM Essentials AIO.

The FullDMD and videos from the pup-pack are not shown on my third screen, only the backbox.  disabling the bbackbox did not help.  However, everything works perfect for the included Retro Flair table.

Be sure you are actually properly disabling the FP Backbox when the table is run. If running from Popper, you need to set this for each table (that is using a pup-pack) in Popper's Games Manager. How to do this is covered in the included Install instructions for each table. If FP's Backbox was never setup correctly and is enabled when the table runs... then it WILL mess up everything, and the FullDMD could be running, but the positioning of all displays may be out of wack because of FP's Backbox.

==================================

All PinEvent V2 tables and their pup-packs work the same. If you had an older Baller install, then you have an old / out of date RF and pup-pack which is not PinEvent V2.

So if RF is working and the other V2 table's pup-packs are not... then either you are not updated for the latest pup, or your pup displays were not setup correctly to begin with, or you don't have the newest PinEvent V2 table's matching pup-pack installed. If they don't match, the pup-pack won't run. Be sure the pup-pack is actually running or not.

Read the included Install Instructions with each PinEvent V2 table to be sure you are properly updated for what is required for PinEvent V2 tables.

Also... PinEvent LITE tables do NOT have a pup-pack with text / videos! You must use DMDext for these tables to mirror FP's DMD to your 3rd screen. This was also mentioned on their download pages and their included Install Instructions.

Thank you Terry!  I didn't have PinEvent set in Games Manager for Popper (only for RetroFlair), so that is why it wasn't working.  Got all my tables working great now!
