Andrevb Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 Somehow I have a situation where I have assigned the volume louder and softer to my flippers. I don't know how to put this back again. but it is very annoying to have this constantly in your dmd screen. See photo. Can someone help me?
digitalarts Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 This 'overlay' is only visible if you pressed the 'tilde' a.k.a. ^ key, when the focus is on the DMD window . With the same key press again, the overlay is away (Of course, the focus needs to be on the DMD display)
Andrevb Posted August 19, 2024 Author Posted August 19, 2024 Thank you very much for your answer. But somehow this doesn't work for me. Is there perhaps also a possibility to replace a file somewhere or to change something in a file?
digitalarts Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 Uh? At least when you close the table, this Vpinmame window should also disappear, because Vpinmame should be closed, too. Silly question - maybe did you a kind of "screenshot" of this DMD and your Frontend always just show this??
Andrevb Posted August 19, 2024 Author Posted August 19, 2024 This OSD with volume 0db disappears when closing the game, but after starting a new game and operating the flippers it appears again and I can make the sound softer with the left flipper and louder again with the right flipper. So when playing the game the volume bar keeps moving back and forth.
digitalarts Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 No more ideas about this very strange behavior Last try: accidentally a defective keyboard where the 'tilde' a.k.a. ^ is always 'pressed' ??
Content Provider xenonph Posted August 19, 2024 Content Provider Posted August 19, 2024 Try changing your key assignments back to default keys. (Preferences tab, Keys, Nudge, and DOF. As seen in pic) I am guessing you have assigned left and right arrow keys for flippers? Change that back to Left and Right Shift keys. I am also guessing you have assigned the Tilde key to Player Start.(The key to the left of the 1 key, at top left of keyboard.) Change Player Start to the 1 key. See if that helps.

Popper was recording a playfield table and somehow something popped up on the screen so when the video would play I thought for the longest time that something was randomly popping up and I couldn't stop it lol until I deleted the video and re-recorded. It was a Duh moment. It happens to us all Lol.
