One game only and one player only.

I had a bit of a weird issue with Bally's Kiss a while back, where I could only play one game each time when loading from Popper. To play it more than once I would have to back right out and load the game again. Also, I could only play single player games - even though I could add credits it would not let me add players 2, 3 and 4. It behaved normally if loading without using Popper. In the end I had to completely remove the game and reinstall it to fix the problem.

Then the other night I had the exact same issue with Alien Poker - removed & re-installed and problem fixed.

Given that these 2 games are probably the most played on my cab, I'm thinking that the issue could be related to some sort of counter. It's like I've reached my limit on the number of times or minutes I can play them before they go into this strange mode.

Any clues?

 

Edit: Looks like it's not a Popper issue after all, but an issue with the latest 32bit 10.8. My testing the other night was flawed due to one too many beers! I have to run these games in 32 bit otherwise I get ROM related issues. When I was testing on Friday night without using Popper, I was using an older version of 10.8 which I've now reverted to and the problem is solved.
