Hi Pinheads

Pinball is more than just bouncing a ball around.
To truly master the game and rack up those big points, you need to understand the rules.

You're probably familiar with the static help card images available for Pinup Popper. While helpful, they can be challenging to understand.
That's why I started creating Video Instructions to guide you through the complexities of your favorite tables. I'm excited to announce that odradek has joined the team, so expect even more videos coming your way!

Video Instructions can be found here:
VPUniverse and YouTube

There are two main ways to set up your pinball experience: Pinup Popper (offline) or VPin Studio (online).
We'll cover both methods in this thread, so stay tuned for detailed instructions and tutorials.

We hope you enjoy the instruction videos

Kongedam & odradek

---------------------

Setup Pinup Popper

  • Open PinUpMenuSetup
  • Go to Tab “Popper Setup” and click on “Controller Setup”
  • Choose a Key for Game Info or Game Help

  • Go to Tab “Popper Setup” and click on “GlobalConfig”

  • Go to Tab “Script” and Add the line “ShowInfoInGame = 1” on Custom Options. Click Save

  • Go to Tab “Popper Setup” and click on “Screens / Theme”

  • Click on “Configure Display Locations”

  • Click on “GameHelp”
  • Choose with “Quick Position” the “Display #” you want to use. Usually Backglass
  • Click “Save Settings”

  • Go to “Game Manager”, click in any table and click “Media” Button

  • Add to “Help” then upload video

Thats it!
Now, inside Pinup Popper Frontend or inside the Table, you can press the Key you choose to see the video.

I'm a big fan of video instructions and install every single one released! I have even taken it a step further by having both the video instructions and instruction card set to my help field, so I can go back and forth between the two in game, depending on how in depth I need the instructions at the time.

Cheers!

Hello VPinballers!!

If you want to put the tutorial videos in PINBALLX you can too!!! just put in PINBALLX>MEDIA>TUTORIAL VIDEOS the video in mp4 and it will appear on the display with the TUTSinttulo-1.thumb.jpg.244ffdb12cc69c4f46b46459c1f95507.jpgORIAL options and you will see it like in the video. (it would be great if it were reproduced in full dmd but hey, it's fine too) greetings!!!

@Kongedam Thanks for the clear instructions. I also just discovered your MASSIVE library of videos. They are absolutely great to add to add to a cab. Consistent style, not too long, not too short, clear concise explanations. I instantly fell in love. Thanks for all the hard work. It indeed levels up a cab! Really helps when friends come over so they also can quickly get to know a game.

Hey thanks for this, only issue I'm having on my cabinet is I'd like to be able to close these videos once I've opened them. The only way I seem to be able to do so is by closing down pinup popper. How can I configure it so my cancel/back button exits the video?

Hi, I know I'm a little late to the conversation, I am assuming you can use both just by the re-naming method? -(01, 02) etc correct? Also would you happen to know if you could fast forward or rewind / pause the video at any time. Many thanks! Like you say I have the whole collection of these and are super helpful. Superb!!

Looks like the VPIN studio is no longer available. Does anyone know if that option was removed or moved to another menu? I can't find it.

Great work on these videos, very helpful! Thanks for your efforts!

I do seem to be having a small problem though -- the audio plays only for the first video, then all the others after that are silent. All the other Popper audio functions seem to continue working as well.

Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Thanks for all the work developed thus so far! its excellent,  i want to give feedback for the pin up media manager, so we can in the media manager form browse for local media for each one instead of just online then it pulls the file and place it in the right dir with the name as same as the table, if i do it manually the app recognizes the file and the slot turns green but its cumbersome, allow more people to share their artwork there is few sources and one of them is lowres everytime, complete system scan with auto fill images if the files are wrong then we check is faster than going one by one, like the skraper app for arcade games.
