Hi!

I almost got everything running and I'm very happy for it! Thanks for everything!

Two remaining questions:

1) How can I change the preset keys? I can only set buttons for my controller, but can't change the keyboard keys. The displayed keys are even wrong...instead of 1, 2, 3, 4 there are special characters. How can I change the keys?

2) The last unsolved mystery is audio volumes.
There are different options: a) editor options for sound and music b) Sound and music when pressing Q or F12 c) The rom volume.

When downloading a table, the rom or table is often set to 8 out of e.g. 63...so the music is barely audible. Some tables such as Lord of the Rings and other Stern tables have bad audio quality. The sounds of the slingshots, flippers and bumpers are very loud, but increasing the rom volume reveals that it is distorted. Especially Lord of the Rings will sound bad above volume 20 of 31 (I think).

How can I make the music louder or the sounds of the slingshots, bumpers and flippers lower?

I read that you can use altsound...I downloaded an altsound pack for Lord of the Rings, but the volume of the music was even lower in volume then.

How can I increase or decrease the individual per table volumes for music vs. mechanical sounds?

3) In addition to the rom's volume, there is a setup option when pressing 7 to enter the machine settings. Stern tables have a volume of 1 which is the default...but regardless of the value I set (1, 7 or 15), the sound remains the same. Why? What should I set there?

4) How can I mute the audio volume of PUP pack videos? Or how can I get a good sound with the combination of table vs. pup pack? e.g. AC/DC Luci has an awesome pup pack. The video has sound, the quality is better than the rom sound...you hear the song and the fans...but the pup pack's sound overlaps with the sound of the rom....so you hear the lower-quality version of e.g. Thunderstruck in addition to the pup pack version of Thunderstruck...and both overlap and are slightly out of sync. I can set the rom volume to 0, but then I don't hear callouts, the sound of the bell etc. ... how do you set your AC/DC table? I think I'd just mute the pup packs and use the table sounds. Or is there an altsound that lets you listen to the pup pack videos and the rom at the same time because it mutes all rom songs and only used callouts, bell sounds etc.?

PS How can I mute a pup pack? There are percentage values...but 0 does not mute at all, but it is very loud...so I set it to 1%, but depending on the table and rom volume and/or video, the pup video sound can still be heard.

Hello @LeanderQuest

I don't know  for the others tables, but for Ac/Dc Luci, it seems that there is a note about it int the puppack page :

Quote

EVERY USER THAT WANTS MUTED ROM MUSIC NEEDS THE 1st link - place in your rom folder. Please backup your files in case you don't like this mod. The music videos have far superior sound than the original rom.

Hope it helps you

I know, thanks! The ROM does not work though...I either have music from the ROM or I get a ROM error.
