Hey all,

I run mainly VPX (via popper) on my cab, and I'm usually grabbing Hauntfreaks backglasses

Is there a way to possibly use instead a static image for my backglasses? Or someway to use, or find (or convert) more lightweight backglasses?

Some of the newer tables require a lot just to get them to load-up, let alone run smoothly.

I love awesome high quality, true to life backglasses, yet I'm wanting to save resources (GPU/CPU) for my playfield.

With the Backglass Server, you can simply display a background image that can serve as a Backglass replacement.
Configure your tablename.res and fill in the path to your pic.. You may read this (and watch the video)

I never tried it, but you could download the backglass editor and try to fill in just a picture and export to your own simple backglass file.

Edit: I just downloaded the designer. Created a new project, then I imported a pic. Export as b2s file.. works. - and is VERY simple.

Along with Tiki's suggestion you can also change the settings of an existing b2s and just turn everything off. Open the b2s backglass, right click and click the more button and click all off and out. Then you will only get a static unlighted unanimated b2s
