randr
Can i have 2 contactors on 2nd? or do all 10 need to be on 1st ledwiz?
Content Provider arngrim Posted January 18, 2014 Content Provider Share Posted January 18, 2014 You can mix, it is transparent for DOF
randr
I usually make my own diodes but was lazy and used the Siemens diodes that come with contactors on two add on contactors.. Never tried them before. Wonder if that's problem? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Content Provider arngrim Posted January 18, 2014 Content Provider Share Posted January 18, 2014 I do the same, no problem at all
randr
How so? Make your own as I usually do or use ones that come with contactors? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Content Provider arngrim Posted January 18, 2014 Content Provider Share Posted January 18, 2014 for the 9 and 10 contactors i use siemens diode, it works fine

randr
I'm gunna make diodes and see...my wiring is solid I know that. Or I may add 2nd ledwiz to another cab for test. Seems strange. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Content Provider arngrim Posted January 18, 2014 Content Provider Share Posted January 18, 2014 i don't understand your problem, you can use a siemens diode module or put a diode on the ground wire yourself, htere's nothing really special right? randr
I completely agree. But as soon as dof triggers contactors on 2nd ledwiz table quits to front end. Only difference is I used diode module on the 2 contactors cause I was lazy. What I'm saying is I'm gunna try the ones I make and see if same thing happens. That's all...kinda talking out loud...beacons are in 2nd ledwiz and work fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Content Provider arngrim Posted January 18, 2014 Content Provider Share Posted January 18, 2014 Are you talking about the escape issue from the pm?
randr
yes. I assume its ESC issue as game quits out to frontend with contactor on 2nd ledwiz.
randr
I haven't tried my "made" diodes yet but will later
randr
Update... My "made" diodes which is what i always use work fine and all is good! I would recommend do not use these!!! (see pic) i was lazy and thought i would try..they DO NOT work in my setup! https://www.dropbox.com/s/r336ax3hhlfduee/Photo%20Jan%2018%2C%204%2049%2054%20PM.jpg

randr
I'll just close this by saying. The siemens diode pak does work fine while "testing" (holding wires to source) and even light use in cab but i will say during actual use in table they do not work with my setup. they cause all sorts of strange behavior! quits out to menu...knocker firesfor no reason....At any rate everything so far is fine with "made" diodes I did try putting them BACK in to test AGAIN and same issues..so strange so just a heads up

Content Provider arngrim Posted January 19, 2014 Content Provider Share Posted January 19, 2014 That me and others have knocker and strobe fire sometimes without any reason.. Let me know your tests
randr
So far all good. Tested plenty. I can reproduce the problem by removing my made diodes and putting in Siemens diode it is a issue every time with them installed. Probably why I've never used them before. But like I said was getting lazy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
randr
The siemens contactor "diode" pak is a varistor see below. mainly for surge protection. is for sure not the same as a zener diode var·is·tor vəˈristər/ noun noun: varistor; plural noun: varistors 1. a semiconductor diode with resistance dependent on the applied voltage. di·ode ˈdīˌōd/ noun ELECTRONICS 1. a semiconductor device with two terminals, typically allowing the flow of current in one direction only.
