HB1981 Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 Hello, I have bought a cabinet from a local store that was sitting there with a broken pc last month. The cabinet contained a LedWiz and a pinscape controller. The ledwiz controlls the leds and solenoids, the pinscape the buttons, plunger and tilt system. I have build a new PC and installed everything from scratch. I also got myself familiair with all the stuff in the cabinet and mapped every port used on the ledwiz etc. I tested it with the ledwiz software and everything responds. I have installed the newest version of baller installer / pin up popper. Directoutput etc. Now for the issue: I cannot get the directoutput system to work with VPX. What works: the leds and everything in "attract mode" in pin up popper Everything from shaker engine to solenoids and leds in Futurepinball Directoutputconfigtester also works fine and gives no errors What does not work: anything with vpx. If i rechtclick on the backglass there are no active plugins (greyed out) the directoutputfolders dont generate logs as well, although i have configured it. I have reinstalled the pc to make sure i did everything right the second time, but still this issue. As i said, the weird part is that the directoutput configtester is working fine from the 64 and regulator directoutput folders. Does anyone have any ideas? I checked for locked files and folders, rights etc. I use Windows 11 pro btw if it matters. thank you very much
Rappelbox Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 did you check this video? probably you only skipped a step or installed the wrong dof version
HB1981 Posted June 20, 2024 Author Posted June 20, 2024 I did the steps in the video, but it did not work. Tomorrow i will try to reinstall dof. Is there a proper way to uninstall it, because i read about duplicate globalcomobject issues etc. It has to be an issue with directoutput i think? Since futurepinball works and attract mode in pin up Popper also I only think its strange that the directoutput test works, so technically it should work?
Rappelbox Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 Did you test vpx 32bit version explicitly? currently your issues sound like it’s more of an 64Bit issue, not a general DOF fault. where and what version of dof64bit did you download?
HB1981 Posted June 20, 2024 Author Posted June 20, 2024 https://pinball-docs.clevelandsoftwaredesign.com/docs/DOF/installing/ I have downloaded the 32 but and 64 bit installer from there. Have started both 64 and 32 bit versions from Popper. But the plan is to only use 64 bit when all is fine. (I am on a night shift by the way so dont know how fast i will be able to respond ) . Thnx again!
HB1981 Posted June 21, 2024 Author Posted June 21, 2024 Ok, so i have reinstalled dof from this link this time: http://mjrnet.org/pinscape/dll-updates.html also downloaded the 64 version folder and did the stuff from the youtube video in this topic i got a directoutput.log this time. The strange thing is that it says it did not load my globalconfig and a lot of errors. I added the cabinet.xml, globalconfig.xml and logfiles as attachments DirectOutput.log cabinet.xml GlobalConfig.xml
Rappelbox Posted June 22, 2024 Posted June 22, 2024 ok, some minorissues and errors... 1. make sure at least the following files are in your c:\directoutput/CONFIG folder: globalconfig.xml globalconfig_b2sserver.xml directoutputconfigXX.ini tablemappings.xml cabinet.xml 2. make sure NONE of them is in the c:\directoutput folder
HB1981 Posted June 23, 2024 Author Posted June 23, 2024 I have rechecked, i moved the table mappings file and directoutput.ini to the config folder Still nothing. The weird thing i now figured out: Plugin still greyed out, nothing logged either. When i test directoutput put with the tool then it does log. So when i use visual pinballx or 32 bit versions it does not even seem to start or do anything. In the log it still says it cannot find the xml files like in the other log but they are there
