Hi all, I've tried searching but can't find an easy answer to this.

How do you find out what trigger to add when editing a pup pack?

For example, I have a ball save or "ball freeze" in simpprty. I've managed to locate the file in the altsound pack that corresponds to this event (0xfeb1-unlabeled_oatum.ogg), but I have no idea how to trigger that for a specific pup-pack video.

I can figure out most of the common ones like "D0", but can't figure out specific triggers. I know the ball save is triggering the altsound file so there must be a way, no?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

In those cases where a specific switch triggers many other things the best practice then is to use the dmd capture. For example the outhole switch triggers different things depending on where the game is at (time) and if it's in the time allowed for ball save this will be shown on the dmd. Pup pack authors will capture that dmd display and use that to trigger the pup pack for that event

hI cLIFFY, sORRY NO ANSWER FOR YOUR PROBLEM.. BUT

i HAVE A QUESTION (Caps)

Is it possible to record Playfield an automatic time ( Not the auto record wich is really bad by the way )

But sometimes its just ok, but most of the time, I record 2 sec. and I have to wait the whole song ( 30 sec ) wich I cant stand anymore ...that song, ouff !!!!

Is there a way to just clic and record, 2 sec. stop, wait 5 sec. and ready ???

or its just that this program is not doing what is suppose to do ????

Sorry Im just a bit frustrated now, I dont know where to turn..before I smash my computer on the wall  !!!

a thousand pinball  takes a long time to record playfields.. and I wanna do it before I dye !!!!

I had no problem. I was helping the other guy :)

I'm sorry but I have never done recording so I have no idea how to achieve what you want to do. I'm sure someone here does though!

With your help I found TerryRed's video on PupCapture and it seems to be exactly what I needed. Trying it out now.

Thank you for everything you do for the community, you've helped me quite a few times without realizing it by answering other people's questions.
