I've been trying to get into using pup packs for vpx tables, playing on desktop and in VR. They do work, but after some time (0 to 5 minutes, usually) the pinup player crashes for no apparent reason. This happens on all tables. It also happens with the popper. I can cycle around the menu for a bit, but eventually everything crashes except for the menu itself.

I haven't found any useful information about this. The only thing I saw was on nailbuster.com, where it says:

Quote

On Certain Packs Back Glass videos will crash/close-out after 10-20 minutes of play (vpx still plays).

This is mainly because of non-standard media in pup-pack running with VPX running full-screen exclusive mode. First thing to try is to run table in Popper via the recording display screen mode (that disables FS-ex temporarily). If the PuP packs works in non-FS-ex then you need to correct the media for that pack. Use this zip and test. See readme.txt in zip (you may have to try which bat file works for you, make backup of puppack).

This hasn't helped me. I'm getting the same pup packs that are working for everyone else, and I don't run VPX in exclusive fullscreen.

I've tried messing with the graphics settings in various ways, but nothing seems to make a difference. I've also tried things like setting various programs to with administrator privileges and using compatibility mode. Nothing has worked.

I run Windows 10 and I got all relevant software by using the Baller Installer found on nailbuster.com. I have also run the automatic updater that is part of the Pinup Popper Setup, and I'm fully up to date.

Does anyone have any ideas about how I can get it to be stable? If not, I guess I'll just stick with DMDs.

I was having the same issue. Turns out it was the overlay i was using with MSI Afterburner, it displayed fps and gpu usage at the top right hand part of the screen and once i disabled that the crashes went away.
