panterro Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 Hi, I have a problem with the popper shutdown on Windows 11. I want to trigger a batch file when shutting down my computer, this is working in every thinkable way, power button, start->shutdown, shutdown.exe, pinball y. Only Pinup Popper/Menu is not triggering the normal windows system events. All other apps and functions trigger two events with ID 1074 (shutdown), one with the user currently logged on, and one with user system -> task planner finds the first event, triggers batch Popper only generates the system user event, which causes task planner not to trigger the batch. Is it possible to fix this somehow, update popper menu to trigger the user event? Fill in a batch file in the popper shutdown function? Get task planner to recognize the system event? 😕 anyone has experience with that? The scripts from pinup menu setup don‘t trigger either on shutdown, only on normal system exit.
Content Provider pritch33 Posted June 9, 2024 Content Provider Posted June 9, 2024 Im not all that smart but why are you using a batch file to shut down the PC. Why would you not just use popper to shut down the PC. Also you mention shutting pinball y?
panterro Posted June 9, 2024 Author Posted June 9, 2024 I am not using a batch to shutdown the pc, I am trying to trigger a batch WHEN shutting down the pc by recognizing system events. this works in every other application (e.g pinball y) or normal shutdown option, only popper does not work.
