I need some help getting started

I didn't want to just start bothering you guys asking questions but this is pretty overwhelming for me. I just want to play some tables in my computer, i don't have a cabinet or any of that stuff but everytime I look for some info about getting started I just find stuff about all this 3 screen complicated stuff.

 

I downloaded vpx from this websites, downloaded some tables, both originals and recreations with roms, and i can only run a few of JP Salas's tables, everything else I just get errors that say ''object missing'' or ''cant create flexdmd.flexdmd".

 

I assume there must be something i haven't installed. can anybody at least point me towards some kind of simple tutorial for desktop novice users?
