How to Start

I've never had a VP table. I saw some cool themed tables I'd like to play. What do I buy to start? I'd like to continue to download and play new tables. What can I buy that'll allow me to continue to add and play new tables?

You can put away your wallet, as everything is free in this Pinball Community.

 

I would start by downloading the VPX All-In-One Installer here... (There are newer VPX BETA versions, but those are not for the general public)

Download the one that says VPX72setup.zip

 

After installing, go download some tables and try them out!

Alot of the newer tables require VPX8 BETA, so try the older tables first until you get familiarized with the Visual Pinball program.

Alot of tables will need a rom to work.

You can find which rom the table needs usually on the table download page.

When you download a rom, leave it zipped, and place it in roms folder located in your VPinMAME folder.

 

If you have any problems, just ask for help here in the forums.

It depends on your setup.  I suggest watching some Youtube videos on visual pinball, setup.

The file you posted to is not the actual game that is only the .directb2s which is just the backglass file. 

To get started you probably want to install the Pinup-Popper Baller Installer.  That will install everything to get you up and running. 
Visual Pinball (the simulator software),
B2S (backglass software),
vPinMAME (ROM emulation software)

Then from this site you will need  
Table - 

Backglass - 

Rom -

Again, there is no download link. Discord or Facebook membership is mandatory. Why is this thing so elusive, but yet tables are everywhere?
