Working vpx tables without videos

I don't know if videos (pup-packs?) are required or not to play certain new tables, but is there the possibility to play tables with only classic dmd?

Sorry, i'm new, I don't know the right names of plugins and other things. I'm trying to save space in my cabinet build, since already have plenty of tables but I'd like to put a decent selection of vpx tables too.

Hi, 

 

Pup packs are always an extra option. These are never need to play the table.

You just have to read the info sections. Some tables require the pup for scoring like Batman 66 for example. Some will have an option for flexdmd or pup scoring.

Ok thanks, I've managed to add pinupplayer folder to the desktop and the table "big trouble in little china" launched fine.

I've followed the setup process (a youtube video called "universal setup") but somehow my tables launch fullscreen with fixed dmd and background. I'm testing in a pc with just 1 screen but I cannot see the windows layout (playfield, backglass, dmd all in separate windows). I've saved already the file called b2s_screenresidentifier but is not working.

Look in the big trouble comments. you'll find lots of clues there.  First off though make sure you're NOT running exclusive fullscreen if in desktop mode. Make sure you're in windowed full screen so all elements like pups, b2s, dmd's all show up on the one screen

Ok, this is what I've got so far from yesterday, b2b not showing was "run as admin" unchecked, now i can resize and control backglass and external dmd. In my cabinet i have 2 screen setup, I need to find backglass art which include dmd area?

 

For cabinet I need to check cabinet mode and then move backglass and dmd manually to my other second monitor?

 

Still trying to figure out how to remove internal dmd and background art... but that's not a problem since it's just for testing

Open in edit mode, go to menu and table- lock/unlock. toggle backglass view. make sure all layers selected in properties pane. see the dmd? If its gray then right click unlock/lock then just drag it up out of the bounding box, save.

 

as for changing backdrops look in the tutorials section. I made a tutorial just for that
