Hi all

 

Hopeful someone can advise on whether the following is a system issue or a consequence of a pinmame update.

 

 I've updated pinmame twice in recent months and have suddenly experienced some stuttering with the audio in Scared Stiff. The last version I updated to was 929.

 

The game plays fine but, at various points, the audio stutters very noticeably. Its always at the same points:- achieving a skill shot, collecting a deadhead, locking a ball, and post-game when checking for a number match. There was no stuttering prior to the pinmame updates. I'm still playing in vpx7 build for that particular table.

 

Anyone else recently encounter this issue, or can confirm if their table still works fine with version 929.

Sadly going thru the same exact problem, it happened right when I updated to 929.. so its surely something with that version of VPmame.

It was found that the rom set distributed by ipdb and planetary pinball had a mislabeled sound rom that was actually for an older production version. Try the updated set. You will need to download VPinMAME version 932 or later from the pinmame github actions tab. If you still have an issue with the audio then submit a full bug report at the pinmame github.
