About This File
It seems there are no English instructions available for Spinball's 1996 Jolly Park, so I took an image of the original Spanish card found on https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=4618&picno=27666 and translated it.
I took great care not only to preserve the original layout, but also to find a good balance between preserving the original meaning and making the text read like a typical classic Bally/Williams/Gottlieb card. So "activate" became "lite", "complete" became "make", and so on.
I also had to run the table a few times in debug mode to clarify a few things that were vague in the original instructions.
Notable differences from the original card:
- The card says you should extinguish ("apagando") the JOLLY PARK letters. In fact, once the ball rolls over them or hits their targets, the letters light UP on the playfield rather than going out. Hence "apagando" became "spell".
- The card mentions a key set ("conjunto teclas") that needs to be lit. As far as I can tell, this refers to the three red, green and blue triggers on the Magnetic House platform (https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=4618&picno=19868). They seem to work like rocker switches, so I went with "switches" instead of "keys".
- The card mentions a drop target group ("grupo de dianas de caida"). Those are located on the right hand side of the table in the "Shooting Gallery" house. I named them "shooting gallery drop targets" to make it clearer.
It should be noted that I'm no Spanish speaker, so please do let me know if I made any errors.
