This update was worked on within the VPW group or developers, please refer to the changelog below which details all of the contributors and what has been updated. The main goal for the guys that worked on this was to update the physics and sounds to current methods and update with 3D inserts. There was also plenty done to help it in VR. I didn’t work on this version but on behalf of the community thank the guys that invested so much time in bringing this together and special shout out to Fluffhead who managed the updated at VPW and to Robbykingpin for this contributions early on getting the physics and sounds updates integrated. An absolutely amazing job of updating this great VP table with nFozzy/RothbauerW physics & Fleep sound. That's the basis of this upgrade, initiated by RobbyKingPin; so a special shout out to Robby!

 

The 3D inserts and the new playfield look really amazing too.

 

The table plays really good now and the SSF is perfect, it feels so mechanical/authentic. And not to forget: this table could finally be played in VR properly!

I normally don't note con's but I must say that it doesn't look perfect in VR, the biggest issue is:

- The plastic ramps and the side blades with prebaked reflections look really bad in VR. This is a shame because the table itself looks really great. This kind of ruins the look in VR. It's probably perfect for 2D users but in VR it just looks weird. Yes we are spoiled these days I must admit.

Minor things:

- There is also z-fighting going on at multiple places.

- At many places you can look through the table and see the floor under it(at all wire switches, at the side blades etc.)

- The cabinet is floating above the floor

- There is ~1cm space on the left side of the table to the side wall of the cabinet, the table doesn't fit properly in the cabinet.

Immense gratitude to G5k for being the trailblazer in VPX table creation that you were/are, Sliderpoint and 3rdaxis, and for the VPW crew to sprinkle their Fairy Dust onto this work of art!
Absolutely fantastic in all aspects:  Physics, Visuals, Audio (Altsound or Pinsound).

This one is the best table and best recreation for me. I play this beauty almost everyday. 

 

Right now I'm playing this table with BAM Headtracking and looks amazing.

Can I give it 6 stars?  It's now the best looking virtual pinball game I own.  It looks so real that several times I touched the glass on the cab just to make sure I hadn't actually somehow how bewitched a real machine into it. 

 

Straight up amazing. 

 

That it also sounds and plays amazing makes it the best virtual pinball games translation ever.  Truly the new gold standard.   Best of all for us VPX 7.2 troglodytes, it plays smooth as butter (despite being made in 10.8).  Huge props for that flexibility too....

The possibilities of this table are one of the main reasons I decided to set up a cabinet. I was hoping this day was coming at some point. It met and exceeded all my expectations.  Thanks to G5k for laying the groundwork and all those talented people who collaborated to bring it to today's standards. Christmas came early this year. So appreciated.
