About 4 months ago, I reached out to @xenonph for permission to mod his phenomenal Hankin's Empire Strikes Back table mod. After discussing our love of Star Wars, we decided to pursue a full version of Star Wars Episode 1 (Williams 1999), using ESB as the base. For those familiar with Episode 1, it was the second Pinball 2000 table, the first being Revenge from Mars. Pinball 2000 roms are not available and, to make matters more complicated, the table uses a mirrored playfield and graphics to create a hologram of sorts. While the hologram effect is very cool, we decided not to tackle it with this release, although it may be possible through a Pup Pack, or some playfield effects like we've seen with Wacky Races, Pokemon, etc.

However, instead of the holograms, @xenonph did something amazing...again. If you've watched videos of the original table, you'll hear music from the original trilogy. And sound effects like TIE Fighters. Well, that's not the case with our table-Duel of Fates? You bet. Call outs and sound effects from the Phantom Menace? Totally.

On behalf of my partner in creativity @xenonph, we hope you enjoy our tribute to Episode 1 pinball.

I have really been enjoying this table the past couple of days!

There aren’t many of the ultra widebody tables out there, and I have always liked them. Space Invaders, Empire Strikes Back, Superman, Mario Mushroom World, and my absolute favorite is Embryon.

I love how you incorporated a lot of light flashes into your game, because it really makes it feel like space battles and lightsaber duels are happening. The Empire Strikes Back table is missing that cool lighting.

Great work!

This table is amazing, your audio callouts are spot on perfect.  Immersion 100%.  It's so good it almost doesn't need a pup, i'd be interested in doing one, it would have to be done very particularly with clips linked to the audio callouts or potentially using silent clips.  Like I said it's so freaking good it almost doesn't need a pup.  Amazing work @ryguy417, unexpected joy of a table!!! Thank you!!!

Thank you for creating this mod.. It looks cool and really pops in 3D..
I highly recommend you try out the latest 10.8 builds with the 3D built in using GL
the 3D is way better than using reshade because it is real3d vs fake so the 3D result is far better especially when there are clear plastic ramps on the table with real 3D they are actually completely clear, it is amazing really. I am cutrrently on Build #1482 but I update whenever they do :)

Response from the author:

Yes, I'm also using 10.8 GL. What version are you using? I ended up using reshade because I had better frame rates. Note: I used the Open GL setting in ReShade instead of directx.

I really love this, it's the closest to the 2000 table we might get as of right now. I have fond memories of going to my grandpa's house throughout my childhood and playing that table in their basement. It would be really cool to see a recreation of the table maybe just modified without the screen and have different elements in the center in place of that. This is super nostalgic nonetheless, great work with this table! I love it!

Amazing table and 3D effect using Green/Magenta glasses!

Thank you ryguy417!

10.8 3D is messed up though.

I am on Beta 5.

The positioning is off and many have commented on it.
You can tell by looking at any letters up close and see the horrible ghosting that does not exist with same exact settings on 10.74.

If I can I play all my tables in 10.74 where the 3D is spot on but hard and harder to play new ones like this as they have issues when opening in 10.74.

Very frustrating to say the least that 3D is still broke in 10.8.
It cannot be that hard for them to fix it if its working in 10.74 perfectly already.

Us with cabinets are suffering with 10.8. :(

Response from the author:

i wish I could fix that for you! Have you had any luck with ReShade and 10.8GL?
