Avengers Assemble!

The Avengers is a colorful, fast-paced pin based on the world of the first Avengers movie.  It was designed originally by George Gomez and released by Stern in 2012.

This table has had many authors create and modify many different elements of the package.  The only goal in the modification of this table was to bring the best play experience based on what were the best forms of this table adding current VPW technologies that make things play even better.

It is difficult to discern the pedigree / history of this table but these are the authors (listed on Virtual Pinball Spreadsheet and any table archives) before this mod that have contributions to this table in some way, shape or form:

32assassin, DJRobX, Hauntfreaks, Gtxjoe, Rascal, freneticamnesiac, steely, Sliderpoint, Neo, bigus1, masonm, retro27, UnclePaulie, TastyWasps

There is plenty of re-usable script that many authors contributed to through the years so those can't possibly be mentioned here but if any author was missed who contributed to this table directly, please PM me.

Here are the major upgrades included:

nFozzy Physics
Fleep Sounds
Flupper Domes with Modulated Flashers
VR Room
Playfield Mesh for Hulk Eject
Play Balance
New Desktop Background
Upscaled Playfield and Upscaled Apron
Tweaks to Black Widow Ramp

VR Upscaled Details, Playfield Touch Ups and Optional Sideblades by Retro27 (Thanks!)

Thanks to the folks at VPW and the testing team of PinStratsDan, Apophis, Wylte, PrimeTime5K, bietekwiet and Smaug.

Enjoy collecting those Avengers and see you in the Wizard modes!

I've always enjoyed this table but there has never been a version to do it justice. TastyWasps sorted that out and this plays brilliantly. You can still expect long games - the nature of the table - but you will have to rely on your flipper skills to get there now that there is well-implemented nfozzy physics. I look forward to get to the wizard mode, but that won't happen any time soon.

The pinball machine looks good in VR, good job.

But I don't get the DMD with the VR view (I can still see my score on my desktop when I take out my headset). Does anyone have a tweak for my script? (I have the latest Vpinmame and VPX 1.08 and 5% of my 100 pinball machines have DMD and VR issues). Thank you

5 stars and 1 star for all the "makeovers" of this little kid of Bigus1.

Mate, I don't mind you modding my tables but don't try to cut me out of the credits.  My name is on this table as well as my lighting, and you've also left some others off the credits.  These are the proper credits :-

Bigus1, Gtxjoe, Rascal, steely, sliderpoint, Neo

I told my wife you guys would zero-in on "my tables" and turn this theft into a personal attack. If it's cool around here to rip stuff off and then blame the victim, it shouldn't be a problem if I do the same :)

Response from the author:

All authors that are known to have contributed to this current version of the table are now included in the description above including Bigus.   Thanking all involved in a 10 year old project as many hands have touched this work.

What we have is a community of authors that has made something better through time and more enjoyable in their own unique ways.  This is a hobby we all enjoy.  Peace.

This table is really amazing, nice updates, also love the extra green lights that shine on hulk. My only issue with the table is that the cube spins with a bit of a stutter to it, i played a diffrent version of this table a couple days ago and the cube was spinning fine, anyone else have this issue?

Hi, great work all. It's my current favorite table. Top Top.

Question: is it possible to increase playfield reflections / glossy / shinny look?

I have some tables (ex: Diner) which have this glossy look that I love, would be amazing to add that to this one, for my own personal preference.
