I'm proud to present this new colorization 😚

 

Based on an idea by @zedrummer, this is (maybe) the first colorization of an alphanumeric rom. It paves the way for many other roms 😋


This probably won't be the only version of this colorization because I don't know the table 100%, and because there are bound to be bugs or oversights on my part. Don't hesitate to share your comments or suggestions. 😉

 

The colorization works with the diner_l4 rom in English.

 

The diner_l4.cRZ  file must be placed in the vPinMame\altcolor\diner_l4 directory.

 

V2.0.0 :

     * Automatic shading with Serum v2 for greater legibility.
     * Corrected slowness for PinDMD v3 owners.

This is a watershed/breakthrough moment in time. An entirely new type of scoring display format for alphanumerics. First was UltraDMD, then the awesome FlexDMD and now Serum! The possibilities are endless. Thanks @ebor!

Wow ! Didn't have time to do a full test, but I was stumped !
really nice job. Looks pretty awesome on a real DMD
I hope to more of these alphanumeric segments to be changed and colored
