The active gameplay, a center pop bumper, and wonderful artwork elevate Magic City to one of the great EMs.

Magic City is a collaborative project between armyaviation, mlager8, apophis, and myself. It is a top to bottom rebuild on top of Loserman's scripting. mlager8 and armyaviation were on asset development, I was on visuals and physics, and apophis was on scripting and light map implementation. Visuals utilize Niwak's Blender lightmapper for a more dynamic experience (requires 10.7+).

Line 12 of the script lets you adjust Room brightness (between 0 and 1).

A hyperreal recreation of a very special table. The visuals and lighting are spectacular and the physics top notch. This table is an absolute pleasure to play. With the current iteration of the cutting edge Nfozzy/Rothbauer physics, playing an EM has become so realistic that it can truly capture the intricacies of the old pinball games. Well done Bord and the other members of the team for a fantastic job creating this! Kudos!

Thank you for the VPX re-creation, the result is awesome !

The table is super hard but the lights, the rendering and the feeling keep me taped to the pincab.

Thank you !

THANK YOU .... Bord for a fantastic table. These two you've just released Magic City and Skyway look fantastic.  The lighting is so so good the old style incandescent glow on the wooden table is incredible.

Well Done Sir.

If you're every searching for a few tables... may I please suggest these three... which to my knowledge have not made it to the new VPX 10.7 version.  FH and BG have never been developed.

1) Full House - 1966 Williams https://pinside.com/pinball/machine/full-house

2) Paradise - 1961 Gottlieb https://pinside.com/pinball/machine/paradise

3) Big Top - 1964 Gottlieb  https://pinside.com/pinball/machine/big-top-gottlieb

I once owned these and restored them as best I could.... I think everyone would enjoy these.... just saying!

Response from the author:

Would love to have scanned assets for Paradise someday. Definitely a wish list project for me.

I've never played a table this old and enjoyed it until now. The lighting is just spectacular. The sounds are great too, just amazing quality of samples used. Thank you again.

Beautiful table, graphics and lighting. The one who's lost his beets wrote it all in perfection. Thanks for sharing.

An incredibly beautiful table where the lighting transforms this into a work of art. The plunger settings on this table also seem to give better ball control than many other tables. Another Bord masterpiece with big thanks to the other amazingly talented people involved!

The hi-score sticky, along with the great music mod, will hopefully give this table a wider audience and lure in those not usually interested in older EM tables.

When I see EM like this I think it would be neat to do a vpin that's a full screen backglass (sunk into cabinet) and dress it up on the outside like an EM - and only run the  most EM amazing tables on it. This would go right on top of list. Only played it for a bit but wanted to write a review and say thanks. Almost bought this game last year when came up for sale locally, now I have a stunning rendition of it.

Speechless...

Bord strikes again, and the rest of the team involved. My cat tried swatting the ball out of the screen it's so real.😺

I can't believe my eyes. I'm transported to 1969. I'd just started surfing and what a great time of life. This game is drop dead gorgeous and plays as good as it looks. The bumper and slings are set to perfection. No easy drains but this by no means is an easy game.  A very interesting and fun bumper-lane setup between the flippers. The opening shot is a big part of the game and I like the sensitivity of the plunger. I can't wait to show this one off. What can I say but thankyou again Bord and the fantastic crew who worked on this. 😁
