Nice job on the Guide and Video
Some people have problems getting the backglass server to work from a separate folder and I was one of them
I ended up putting it back In the tables folder then I was able to get it running, But not without having to edit registry first
    -
    Before you updating

    1. Backup necessary Files

    2. Backup necessary Files

    3. Backup necessary Files
    Also Backup your Registry File

    -
    64 bit update
Moving b2s to its own folder and changing the name of the x86 directoutput folder. Both of those things are unnecessary and can cause Problems
Things that probably don't need to be done if your not Moving or Renaming
    You probably don't need to re-register and/or Re-install (X86 backglass), (The X86 directoutput) and (VPinSPA.  InstallVPinSPA.exe.)
You always go back and do it

The update to 64 bit was no problem, but for some reason VpinSpa has stopped working...

It`s no biggie, but still I can play Ghostbusters no more...

Yes. VpinSpa is a branch/hack from pinmame, so, in order to make it work, you would have to compile that code as 64bit as well. I tried to get it to work, but, was getting some errors I didn't understand how to resolve. Maybe someone like @DJRobX or @jsm174 could figure this one out. Until then, just start your 32bit when you want to play GB.

Did any of you experience problems with Scorbit after the update and knows how to solve it?

I upgraded to 64bit according to the video (Many thanks for that Smaug!).

However I did skip the DOF part and added Lucky1. So far everything works…except for Scorbit. All Scorbit tables (Iron Maiden, Munsters,…) crash with „invalid namespace“ while calling the initial Scorbit function.

I tried to call the tables wirh the 32bit version of VPX but got the same result.

    Any support is highly appreciated!

    Hey guys,

    Maybe someone can help...

I have updated according to the video amd everything is working fine.

    However....

FX3 B2s and DOF (flipper sound) , is not working anymore.

At first I thought I had to change the path to the B2s server, as it has moved in its own folder, but that didn`t help.

VPX and Future pinball still working with DOF.

    * the B2s names do not correspond with the tables ? But then again I also have no flipper feedback on my exciters, which is controlled by DOF?

    * I tried changing the path in DOFLinx.ini, but no result...

Any Ideas... someone experiencing the same?

Did you  restart the DOFlinx daemon after making changes in DOFLinx.ini?

Update, fx3 works again with b2s and Dof... I had to change the plugin.

I thought I was losing my mind.  Lol.  Was about to reinstall again.  May I ask how you changed the plug in?    Many thanks.

Is there an actual advantage using 64 bit for VPX ?

Same advantage as any other program: access to more memory

My computer locks up when I load Big Bang Bar out of PinUp Popper when I have it set to use "Alternate Launcher" when "Alternate Launcher" is VPinballX-x64.  If I run BBB just out of VPinballX-x64 it works fine.  If I set x64 as the default in PinUp Popper it runs fine.  If I set another table to use "Alternate Launcher" when set to x64 it works fine as well.  I have 64GB of RAM installed and I have increased my virtual memory on Windows 11.  Any thoughts?  If I should post this question/issue under the BBB table thread please let me know.

    Thanks.

I had follow this video everything is working except for DOF64. When I look in B2S Server the plugin is not here (it's ok for 32 bits version).
May be there is a link but the GlobalConfigEditor.exe is not launching in 64 bits (the same for configtester).

Do you have any idea ?

Not much information here to help troubleshoot. You say that the x64 plugin is not there when you open a settings dialog for B2S Server. Post a picture of that dialog so that we can see if you are actually running an x64 instance of B2S Server. You should install the current version of B2S Server:

    https://github.com/vpinball/b2s-backglass/releases/tag/v2.0.3

It is a single application that can accommodate either x86 or x64 depending on the version of VPX that you are using to call B2S Server.

You must be using VPinballX64.exe to launch a table and load a directb2s backglass.

The usual recommendations about pausing/stopping your antivirus app or excluding Visual Pinball folders from scans apply.

x86 DirectOutput must be working before you attempt to add x64. You say the driver is there. Are you sure it is working? Activate plug-ins radio button is checked? Click Plugin settings button and DirectOutput driver is active?

As I said I have no other trouble except than the plugin is not shown, the installation is as in the guide, the only strange things is than I can not launch the config editor in direct output 64 bits but it's working fine in 32 bits.
May be it's missing something for the 64 bits.

I had reinstall the B2S Server with your link and here are the pictures, you can see than the B2SServer is in 64 bits (the 32 bits one is working fine)

You're missing the Plugins and Plugins64 folders. See my folders attached
