[Solved] Pacled64 And Dof Don't Work

Hi all

I've purchased a PacLed64 from ultimarc, installed DOF in the plugins directory of VPinball as recommended.

PacLed64 is working fine with the PacLed64 software (script and direct mode).

The problem is with DOF...
When I launch DirectOutputConfigTester, the script stops and nothing else happens, active/deactive all do nothing...

I'm trying with Cirqus Voltaire table.

cabinet.xml

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<Cabinet xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
  <OutputControllers>
    <PacLed64>
      <Name>PacLed64 1</Name>
      <Id>1</Id>
    </PacLed64>
  </OutputControllers>
  <Toys>
    <Lamp>
      <Name>Start Button</Name>
      <OutputName>PacLed64 1.01</OutputName>
    </Lamp>
    <Lamp>
      <Name>Launch Button</Name>
      <OutputName>PacLed64 1.02</OutputName>
    </Lamp>
  </Toys>
  <Colors />
  <AutoConfigEnabled>true</AutoConfigEnabled>
</Cabinet>

Cirqus Voltaire.xml

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<Table xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
  <TableName>Cirqus_Voltaire_-_Williams_1997</TableName>
  <TableElements>
    <TableElement>
      <TableElementType>Lamp</TableElementType>
      <Number>1</Number>
      <Name>Start Button</Name>
      <AssignedEffects />
    </TableElement>
    <TableElement>
      <TableElementType>Lamp</TableElementType>
      <Number>2</Number>
      <Name>Launch Button</Name>
      <AssignedEffects />
    </TableElement>
  </TableElements>
  <Effects />
  <AssignedStaticEffects />
  <AddLedControlConfig>true</AddLedControlConfig>
</Table>

Can someone tell me what i'm doing wrong please?

Thanks for any help

Hi

For  a start, it probably easiest if you just use ini files forn the config of the Pacled64.

With the durrent DOF release (thing will be a bit defferent in future releases), DOF uses ini files which have numbers between 20-27 for the configuration of Pacled64 units (20 & 21 are Pacled64 unit 1, 22 & 23 are for Pacled64 unit 2 and so on). The Pacled64 units are auto detected by DOF, so there is no need for a cabinet.xml.

Try the following:

  • Get rid of your config xml files or move them somewhere where DOF doesn't find them.
  • In the config tool, define 2 more ledwiz units in the "My account" tab. Under "Port assignments" assign the correct toys to the outputs of the extra devices you have created. Generate/download the new config ini files.
  • Rename the 2 new ini files to have numbers 20 and 21.
  • Try if it works.

If it doesn't work, please let me know and post a excerpt of the log file containing the lines for the session where you have tried the above setup.

Regards

Tom

Hi SwissLizard

Thanks for your response

Unfortunately, no change...

In the config tool, I've assigned:

"DEVICE 1"

- Port 1 : Start Button
- Port 2 : Launch Button

==> directoutputconfig20.ini

"DEVICE 2"

- Port 1 : Start Button

- Port 4 : Launch Button

==> directoutputconfig21.ini

That is strange.

According to the log DOFdetects the Pacled64 and the config files. It even finds the table config in the ini files.

Just to be sure, to which physical outputs of your PacLed64 have youi connected your leds? Port 1,2,33 and 36?

Can you please post the lines for circus voltaire (the lines stating with cv), so I can check out your config.

Regards

Tom

QUick explanation on Arngrims post:

The current official release of DOF uses 2 ini files to configure all 64 outputs of a Pacled64.

With the next release this is going to change, since ini files with mre than 32 columns will be supported, so we only need 1 ini file for the pacled64.
