I don't know for certain, but I think 64-bit will be needed to handle this becuase it's using the toolkit.

@bord is doing some amazing stuff with the toolkit to make this possible.

I'm pretty sure this will not only need 64bit but also the most resent stable release, we are pushing vpx to do things that it has never done before on this one.

In addition I'm working with Jarr3 to update B2S to allow snippets to be able to move.  If we get that working then the B2S horses will look and move as well as the VPX ones do.  I currently have a working B2S but as posted before the horses are all individual snippets that need to be turned on/off and because of that do not move smoothly across the track.

New Nags start up sequence and bumper flicker.  All of the bumpers start out lit and then as the score motor fires during the reset sequence, the selector unit is stepped and the corresponding bumper, stable and outlane lights are lit in sequence.  I also added in the bumper flicker that happens on all bumpers when any are hit.

That bumper flicker looks great! Love that kind of detail.

Jarr3 pointed me to this project, very cool! With his help, I'll take a look at getting the B2S updated to allow Translate (maybe even rotate) of snippets to help this along. Great project.

Thanks, @stevejones72. That would be awesome!

Ok, after a 6 hour debugging session, it's looking like I'll have a solution. I now know way more about the inner working of B2S than I ever thought I would! :) I'll clean everything up and get an video or something posted, to show the effect, then get a PR our for Jarr3 to take a look over soon.

Incredibly exciting @stevejones72! There are not a lot of people using b2s designer and among them a few true masters. This one may cement your place among those elite few. How exciting, again!

Sorry for poor resolution (working off my laptop) but you should get the gist of it... you can see the smooth position changes of the horse at the top, versus the one at the bottom which in the script is doing the bait and switch :)

Progress! Will clean up and push a PR today(?) or Tomorrow.

I'm thinking this could also be useful for Sea Jockeys, 1951?

There will be a new set of tables, which will become possible now.

Thanks again @stevejones72.   And also thanks to @scottacus, who prepared a test table + backglass just to get this going. Amazing!

Holy cow this is awesome!!!!

You can see how much better the moving B2S snippets look in the video by comparing how Hoss 6 moves compared to Hoss 1.  Funny thing, I just started working on Nags again after half a year of letting it sit, the timing of this new development couldn't have come at a better time.  These past two days I worked out how to move the 180 B2s horse snippets (6 horses * 30 positions) so that their B2S numbers correspond to the vpx horse transX values.  This was complicated because Bord had to put the vpx horses not at the start of the track because of shadow and reflection distortion in blender so the math was even more complicated.  I will probably leave that code in for folks who don't upgrade to the new B2S version so that their horses will at least move right out of the box.

I'll put in an option in the script to let the user switch to the new B2S snippet translation which will look 100x better.  This will insure that the horses move without the user needing to upgrade their B2S package.

Super excited about the new B2SSetPos method that can move B2S Snippets x and y coordinates around the backglass.  I have a working prototype and @jarr3 @stevejones72 and @jsm174 are working on improving and refining the method for ease of use and faster speed.  Lots of tables will benefit from this method like @bord Crosstown with open/close subway doors and any tables with moving bg animations.
