Content Provider leeoneil Posted February 19, 2022 Content Provider Share Posted February 19, 2022 Hello, some of you probably noticed, but we start to DOF some Loserman76 tables (to keep the legacy alive !) with Arngrim and Foxyt. Thank's to the help of @Thalamus and @bord, we are adding a better SSF and a visual improvment. Here is a list of what we are working on : https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jMX4tNz-2LTiPqSDn8GEjFqjrT7LjAs1bFId262LT3A/edit?usp=sharing There is already a thread started by @ARMYAVIATION but it's full of "technical" answers and exchanges. Here i will put the differents tables we are working on. This subject is here just to help everyone not working on the same table at the same time ! So currently we are finishing Teacher's Pet (Williams 1965) Playfield/plastics : PBecker And i just start working on Now (Gottlieb 1971) Playfield/plastics : GNance See you soon ! It's like playing with paint while the other know the whole adobe creative suite ! 🤪 Crazy, i can't struggle against him, i'll use his version ! 😆

Content Provider leeoneil Posted February 21, 2022 Author Content Provider Share Posted February 21, 2022 (edited) I hope Bord did not make an upgrade of this one ! 😅 @foxyt is working on DOF and SSF. New-York (Gottlieb 1976) AllKnowing2012 for VP9 version ! Edited February 21, 2022 by leeoneil

Content Provider leeoneil Posted February 28, 2022 Author Content Provider Share Posted February 28, 2022 Gaucho (Gottlieb 1963) is coming. A rare table, too bad the playfield and the plastics are not in a very high resolution... I've tried the patching system from Dazz for this table. It seems to work fine, I think i will do all other updates with this system.
Content Provider leeoneil Posted March 1, 2022 Author Content Provider Share Posted March 1, 2022 Next one will be "Hi-Deal (Bally 1975)", the single version of "Hang-Glider". I don't now why, but the table do not have lights. In facts the lights are here, but far from the table (maybe it was a work in progress for him). So i used a "blue print" from hang-glider and i started to correct the lights. It took me a long time, it's why i don't have a screenshots to share yet. See you "soon" for a patch. Dazz, propose me to use the patch system. I'ts sound perfect for the project here (enhanced Loserman76 tables). So every time i want to upload a file, i don't need to bother the staff anymore. We will keep the original file on VPU. It's a little more complicated for people who want the complete file, it's not perfect, but it's very fast to use (when you have the 2 files it's a "10 seconds job"). edit : It took me 5 hours to have the lights in this table. 🤪 Clearly a WIP for Jeff 😥, there were no lights at all... It drives me crazy, even with the blue print i struggled with VPX. I'm clearly a big noob ! I watched some video of the real table to comfort me on the general impression. Not finished but looks nice for me now !
swietlikowa
A great initiative! Loserman left behind dozens of beautiful tables, this is a piece of pinball history. It's worth tweaking them a bit so I'm glad someone has taken an interest. As an EM fan - I'll be following this thread diligently. Thanks!

turntheradioxoff
I love these EM mods.. now if only someone would clean up one of my old favorites "Travel Time". Until then, these are incredible. Cheers!

Is there a vpx version of this table ? I didn't find anything. Currently i'm working on "King-Pin" the 1962 table from williams. Lot's of work for an average result. 😐 I hope to finish tonight. turntheradioxoff
I only have the vpt. And even that was hard to find.
Content Provider leeoneil Posted March 11, 2022 Author Content Provider Share Posted March 11, 2022 That can be a challenge (but not for now 😁), I think i saw a video explaining the basics of converting tables from VP9 to VPX. @turntheradioxoff can you give us the link of the VPT please ? Next table for me will be "Four Season" (Gottlieb 1968)
Content Provider leeoneil Posted March 11, 2022 Author Content Provider Share Posted March 11, 2022 @JFR1 I've made an update for Old Chicago (Bally 1975) ! Visual update, correct the old DOF (no change, just update the script), add SSF, and minor tweaks from Thalamus. Some parts need to be corrected (too bright, shadows on launch lane...), but it's almost done Edit correction :
Content Provider leeoneil Posted March 12, 2022 Author Content Provider Share Posted March 12, 2022 Yihaaaa, I managed to do some dynamic drop target shadows !!!! I don't know if i did it the right way, but it's working !!!! 🤩 edit : next tables will be Triple Action (Williams 1973) and Star Action (Williams 1973)
turntheradioxoff
@leeoneil i have had this one for a very long time and can't find my original source. It appeared to be on the up and up at the time. I was able to find a link through a google search that i did not test as i do not know if this site is even remotely acceptable. It was arcadeathome . com I'm not smart enough to research that aspect and will delete this comment if this is a known no no site. I'm new to posting on the forums and i respect the work of the table creators so i wouldnt post anything of ill repute intentionally.
Content Provider leeoneil Posted March 15, 2022 Author Content Provider Share Posted March 15, 2022 @turntheradioxoff Can you check (in the script for example) if it's a PBecker production please ? I'm in contact with Itchigo for eventually working on VP9 conversion. And is working with PBecker to. So maybe it's one of his file.
turntheradioxoff
It is by Robair: ' TRAVEL TIME (1973) ' A Classic Williams Electronics Pinball Machine ' Realized By Robair! Content Provider leeoneil Posted March 18, 2022 Author Content Provider Share Posted March 18, 2022 I've made some dynamics DT shadows for New York, for the DOF made by foxyt. The table looks very nice now ! It's more subtle than the ones in Old Chicago (too strong on this one but it was my first try).
Content Provider leeoneil Posted March 19, 2022 Author Content Provider Share Posted March 19, 2022 WIP for Triple action (and Star action). Need scripting now for DOF and SSF, but the shadows and the dynamics DT shadows are here. edit : Pffffffffffffffff, what a noob ! I made a big mistake.... Plastics edges are supposed to be transparent, not white ! I just saw that in a video for Star action (the add a ball version of triple action). And it was obvious on the Army scan but I missed that ! So the render look's like that actually on the next release of Star Action... Probably i'll correct this table too....
