PinCiucciu Posted June 16 Posted June 16 Hi! I am totally new to all of this, and getting everything set up. A few weeks ago, I set up everything through Baller Installer, no issues. However, I realized I do not like to open tables through the front end, and I just like to open them up through VPX manually. I was always able to save highscores no problem. At the end of every match, it would prompt me to put my initials in, and it would save everything. It would even cycle on screen through all the previous top saved scores. For some reason now, not a single VPX table will let me save my highscores, and it won't ask me to ever input initials in anymore. Some tables do not even display the highscores at all anymore. In one case, for "Blizzard of Ozz," it will show my top 2 scores (it used to show more), and my most recent scores come up as "YOU." I'm not sure what I did, but it feels like it just randomly broke lol. I would like to go back to the way it was before, but I have no idea how. I have searched through everywhere and cannot seem to find an answer for this. Seems like I am the only one with this odd issue. I have looked through all the VPX settings, but cannot find anything for scores or inputting initials. It is driving me absolutely nuts. Any help would be gladly appreciated!
PinCiucciu Posted Saturday at 12:14 AM Author Posted Saturday at 12:14 AM For anyone in the future with this problem, I ended up finding somewhat of a solution. I used VPSaveEdit.exe to edit the VPX "VPReg.stg" file found under the "User" folder in the VisualPinball folder on my computer. 1. First I loaded up the VPReg.stg in VPSaveEdit.exe 2. Then I found each game file I wanted to fix 3. I wrote down my top scores in the notepad 4. I then deleted all of the highscore entries. Everything 5. I re-entered my highscores (just the main ones) and the initials 6. Rinse and repeat for each game For some reason, deleting all of the data for the games somehow fixed the issue (at least for Blizzard of Ozz), and I suspect every once in a while I might need to go in and delete the data. Odd. I suspect it had something to do with too many game saves?
