Trouble with DieHard, Darkest Dungeon, Dark Chaos, IronMaiden Legacy - DOF - CONTACTORS...NO - LEDs...YES

Hello, everyone,

I recently started with this great hobby...

Pretty happy with it!

System: Windows 10 - VPX 10.8. x64 - B2S 2.1.3 - PUP 1.5 - FlexDMD 1.9.1 - DOF from 01.07.2025 (both x86 and x64)

 

Situation No.1:

DieHard Trilogy wont show PUP Pack files on Backglass....

I .bat for 3 screens.

I unblocked the .zip

I unblocked every file in subfolders.

I ran as Admin...

I tried latest VPX 10.8.1 Prerelease

I tried the .ini provided here in table coments.

I tried the fresh B2STableconfig.xml

 

DieHard seams to be the only table of, that has this problem.

I searched, but couldn't find any other help suggestions, than what I did, mentioned above.

 

Anybody who can help, or give a hint?

For those who are new to this hobby...

 

When someone says, update your config files, and you have no idea what this means...

 

You need to figure oout your pinball setup... which controllers are build in, like which boards, KL25Z or MOSFET (for Solenoids) expansion, or TEENSY (for LEDs) or whatever...
How many Solenoids, how many LEDs or Shaker motors etc....

 

Then you need to build and download the "Config" Files...

You do that by going to the DOF Config Tool (online) and tell the configtool what setup you have exactly... Controller devices and which ports they use...

After that, the ConfigTool genereates the config files for you.

 

directoutputconfig30.ini for Teensy and LEDs

directoutputconfig51.ini for Pinscape and Solemoids

etc.

 

in those config files are the informations about new tables and how to communicate with your specific virtual pinball machine setup.

So, if newer tables come out -> they are implemented by beautiful people in the new DOF Config Tool -> you generate your new config(ini) files there.

Download -> extract -> and copy them to your "DirectOutput" folder -> replace the old ones (make backup first of course)

For those having trouble to see the DMD on a Backglass, or maybe the DMD is too small...

 

In my case I tried everything for the VOLKAN vpx with its B2S.

I could not get the DMD to show up! (I thaught)

I fiddled around with all the settings on the Backglass Server -> no luck.

 

Here is, what MY problem was:

The DMD was there, but so very tiny, I could not see it... (don't know why)

 

Running the table - and assuming you are using Directb2s Server for Backglass...

Right Click on Backglass.

In the lower left corner there should be "Edit Screen Resolutions"

When you click this...

In the Windows Taskbar, there should be all 3 Windows...

Hover over those and choose which you like to resize (or edit).

 

1. Playfield (dont touch)

2. Backglass (dont touch, if you are happy with it)

3. DMD <- this was there, but so small, that it was not visible!!!! But hovering over it, I could spot it and once the mouse touched it, I could resize it to DMD size! 

Even better, I could then move it to whatever position I liked best.
