Pinmame32 not saving?

Currently trying to adjust the volume levels on the Phantom of the Opera table. 

Been going through pinmame32 to adjust the rom but the changes don't save when I fire the table up.

Ive been using F3 to save and ~ to exit the program. Not sure whats going on, help?
