HossFreeman Posted March 16, 2024 Posted March 16, 2024 How difficult is it to set up a steam deck to run these wonderful tables? I would totally buy a steam deck but I haven't kept up with hacking/modding in a few years.
Content Provider TerryRed Posted March 16, 2024 Content Provider Posted March 16, 2024 If you install Windows on a Steam Deck, then its no different than a normal PC. The new OLED version doesn't have Windows drivers for everything yet. If you don't install Windows, then, its not simple. (and not everything may work)
HossFreeman Posted March 16, 2024 Author Posted March 16, 2024 I haven't bought one yet. I'll probably just get one pre modded. I haven't installed it on the PC either, but it seems fairly straightforward.

I would recommend you to get a Asus Rog Ally as it's literally all Windows set up straight away instead of having to go through hoops to start playing games like FX3/FX 2022 etc. I presume it would allow you to play VPX on it too.
Content Provider unclewilly Posted February 25, 2025 Content Provider Posted February 25, 2025 Was pretty easy to set up the vpx8 gl linux64 version on steamdeck.added tables as non steam game with controller profiles. Just haven't gotten the analog sticks to work. Has anyone else installed this or know how to setup Joystick buttons in the Linux vpx.
Spacegoogie Posted March 4, 2025 Posted March 4, 2025 This was super easy, pretty much set up whatever however you want. This is the main screen: The VR PinBall Launches VPX VR Launcher. If you press the VR Tables button it takes me to a few pages of my most played Tables (I think I can have as many as I want to make), all I do is click it and BOOM! I'm playing that table. The Service button is for the Tables. There is Pinup Popper aunch button that Launches Pinup Popper, a 3 sec delay and then Pinup VR will launch. Game Over is to quit out of your any game or emulator. System shutdown turns off the PC. The other black buttons and knobs all do stuff as well, I know the big one is Main Vol up and down: After you click the VR Tables button: After clicking the Service button: Clicking on the coin door takes you here: and last, clicking the door buttons take you to the same buttons you would find on the inside of the door lol. Obviously most of us here love to tinker, build and do shit like this, and these steam decks are just that, another endless tinker toy/tool for your cab. 🍻
Spacegoogie Posted March 4, 2025 Posted March 4, 2025 🤣 You said Steam Deck, Not Stream Deck, OMG Sorry it' s been a long day🤣
