Twister Colorization 64 colors

do i need the .pac and .pal file together??

It works great for me. I named it the same as the rom, twst_405 

doesnt work on my older setup, kinda works on a newer setup I have, but the main score display colors are all off, scenes look good, assuming some files need to be updated on my end

check your  dmddevice.ini file and make sure vni.key is set to this........vni.key=f0ad135937ffa111c60b24d88ebb2e59

also set to free play to get all the colors to display correct.... all is working well now.

I'm not sure it works on ancient hardware. You should probably buy something within the last 30 years.

Same here ... all updated but dont work

All of you having problems need to make sure NO .pal file exists in the twst_405 altcolor folder.  I know many of us were using the old 4 color pal file but this needs to be removed.

I am on DmdDevice 2.5.0.0 from June 2026 -  I don't see a 2.6

And I don't know how to put it in free play - it is not an option

I  know this is going to be great once I getting it right!

problem solved, I updated the dmd extension, that got it running finally 

There is also a color .cROMc on serum discord that looks very nice too.

you have to go in the operator menu to change it to free play.... I would give you specific direction but I just figured it out by trial and error, took about 3 minutes, if you want specifics on what keys to use you can look it up somewhere.

Thanks, I now have it in Free Play but it is still not working.

free play will solve some of the color problems.... if none of the colors are working you have a different issue, to fix mine I just made sure I had the latest dmd dll files, i changed the file name to the same name of the rom. 

a good troubleshoot is to also experiment with a new dmddevice.ini file.

I was having the same issue with not getting the twister colorization to work.

I downloaded the freezy dmd-extensions fix: tear down OpenGL renderers safely #77 update and overwrote the files in my VPinMAME folder, now everything works.
