Pup Packs not working in 64 bit vpx (solved)

Hello community,

 

with the die hard trilogy i finally decided to upgrade to 64 bit vpx. 
I followed the guide https://github.com/vpinball/b2s-backglass.wiki.git

and then followed nailbusters stwp by step upgrade guide for pinup, and the register bat shows me the correct path to the new b2sbackglassserver folder in vpinmame. 
now 64 bit vpx and b2sserver work like a charm, but puppacks do not play, and the plugins button on the b2s settings is greyed out. I deleted the old b2sserver files in the tables folder, but to no avail. 
should 64 bit pinup videos be playing at all yet? What about that readme in the plugins64 folder that asks me to create a shortcut to the pinup root folder? And if so, any ideas for troubleshooting?

edit: unblocking the zip files before unzipping did it for me. Thank you nailbuster for the troubleshooting page!!!

Right click on the zip file and go to properties.  In the bottom right corner there should be an unchecked box that says "unblock."  Check that box (the option will disappear) then hit the apply button.  Do this for all pup packs.
