Hi,

Longtime vpx user, I recently realized that DOF was not working any more with all my tables relying on flexdmd (eg : Deadpool, Stranger Things LE, Blood Machines - my flipper contactors are not activated).

I initially thought it was a problem linked to tables with pinup player videos (and tried a lot of troubleshooting based on information I read on Nailbuster's wiki pages - UAC, registry edits...) but realized that it worked fine on pup tables which have a vpinmame dmd.
I tinker a lot with my pincab but the biggest change I did recently was to upgrade all the software to 64 bit. (with separate folders for dof x86 and dof x64)

I'm running vpx 10.8 beta v1243 as well as rev 1453 for the GL versions (VR).

The issue is the same with either the x86 or the x64 version of VPX. (and I did all the testing from vpx, without a front end)

Any ideas on what I could investigate to solve this ? Thanks a lot in advance, I'm really at a loss here !

Man, I tried everything suggested in the post and cannot seem to get it to work.

most games run fine including vpx and pinevent however, certain tables like Blood Machine, champions league 2023 and TNA are just not triggering my solenoids.

im at a loss

So I’m at the point where absolutely everything works great including PinEvent, Doflink etc except original VPX tables that don’t use roms like Die Hard, TNA, Blood Machines etc .

They used to work fine, can’t think for the life of me what I did !

Note: I’m using latest VPX GL 64 bit.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide.

Thank you so much for your reply:

That's a negative, the tables in question do not work with either 32 or 64 bit versions of VPX (Note: I am using the latest 10.8 GL versions of VPX)

Are these tables rom-based?

Maybe you overwrote vpmalias.txt with the default ?

Look into the table script, what cgamename is used.

None of the tables in question are rom based. It seems to be the original tables which are affected.
In will check and report back

I have a feeling this is a Flex issue, all affected seem to use that

Flex set up correctly with latest version as well as DMDDevice dll’s 86&64.

all extensions installed with 4 green check boxes on flex.

cant think what else to do

None of the tables in question use an alias from what I can see.

As far as I can tell I have never used the vpmalias.txt file ever

changing the path to DOF x86 ("codebase" field) + searching through registry for the DOF version number  as I noticed I had 2 versions.

I had a DOF pointing to 64 but which I changed. Did a registry search for any more versions incorrectly named, there were none.

important to note that 32 bit versions of the games in question (those that support 32 bit) don’t work either.

The most interesting thing is that SpongeBob original game works fine while games like Blood machines and Champions League do not.

If I knew the difference between those two original titles I’d probably have my answer.
