Problem with plunger

My very first build so please be gentle. I have built the cabinet and installed software and a few tables. It all works from keyboard so I moved to pinscape board as a controller. I have got flippers and buttons working but I simply cannot get the plunger potentiometer to work. It shows in pinscape recalibration setup and I can see the input is going into pinscape when I move the plunger, but not the tables. I have also ensured that mechanical plunger is ticked and automatic plunger unticked in table options. When I check the pinscape using windows controller calibration, windows does not see the pinscape, and it is showing in device manager as a keyboard. I have clearly fallen into a noob trap. Thought I would post a pic of my build in progress.
 

Please can one of you amazing people help? Loving this frustrating hobby.
