Content Provider unclewilly Posted September 29, 2013 Content Provider Posted September 29, 2013 Hey can anyone tell me about this or point me in the direction as to where I can find it to try it out. There was a post about it at the other forum but it was quickly closed by the admin. Any info is appreciated
jupiter Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Here you go: http://www.gopinball.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4154 It will be interesting to see what you think as I know you built the VP BBB and the first table converted to use these physics is the FP BBB version.
Loafmeister Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Looking forward to see what you think Scott. IMHO, some of the physics upgrade (pop bumpers) are cool but what is awesome are the flipper physics, there is a net improvement there that brings FP past the "it's still a fun game, I like it " into the "this isn't a bad PINBALL sim at all"
Content Provider unclewilly Posted September 29, 2013 Author Content Provider Posted September 29, 2013 That's awesome. Can't wait to try it. Maybe I'll try building in fp again
Shadowsclassic Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 I haven't tried it yet as I read it does not support the second monitor is that corrct? If true, do you think it will at some point or is this going to be stricktly desktop?
Content Provider unclewilly Posted September 29, 2013 Author Content Provider Posted September 29, 2013 wow that plays really nice. 100 times better than standard fp. Is there a way to cut back the lighting effects a little bit. I assume most tables would need modification to take advantage of the build
Loafmeister Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Shadowclassic: works fine with the second monitor if you stick to (if you use a real DMD/LEDWiz) the Macro opengl32, or you can just delete it if your setup has no need for it. The only negative: you lose the flashy effects. IMHO its more important to have these better physics then the flashy effect and IMHO at the moment, I will not compromise my real DMD anyway. For the flashier effects, BAM can provide some of that too, so not the end of the world. Some have said it works fine for them with two monitors but at least there's a way to still use the new physics if its problematic for the user. UncleWilly: There is a QeffectsGL.ini file which has setting you can adjust. As well, yep, most tables will need modifications. OpenGL32 issues: Just a guess but I figure maybe Zed will contact Macro soon to see if there's a way to combine his opengl stuff with the LEDWiz/Real DMD stuff Macro has built. Hopefully we'll get the kinks worked out.
Dodger1980 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Oh man, we now have numerous 2.x physics and this one too?? I´m not a big FP user yet but there are some tables on pinsimdb I´m planning to play in the future, but all this different versions with different tables really seems to complicate everything. Don`t get me wrong... Props to Zed working on this.
LordOpeth Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Been out of the scene for a bit. THis looks great!
