What Is Ledwiz?

I'm not sure if this is the right section, so please move this if it isn't. Anyhoo, I was wondering what Ledwiz was. I keep seeing people mention it, and I have absolutely no idea what it is.

LEDWIZ is a controller card that allows you to hook up LED lights and Flashers as well as other devices.  It uses PWM so you can control intensity as well.  Many tables support it through Visual Pinball scripts and it allows the ROM to interact with your cabinet.   This way you can have flashers on your cabinet that trigger when they would have in the real game.  Or say a shaker motor that triggers when you destroy the castle in medevel madness.  You can fire solinodes when the flippers or slings are actuated.
