tanin
So, Finally I got everything sorted out and downloaded for both VP and FP. I just finished setting up Hyperpin and I'm having two problems:1. I get an error saying "cannot find undefined" followed by table name. I noticed in the settings.ini file that for Future Pinball you have to set two paths, one for the exe and one for the tables while for VP you only have to set the exe path. Is this correct?2. I defined the 2nd monitor resolution, but still, the backglass imaged does not fit. Ideas? Thanks in advance.P.S. reference to problem 1. For FP, I hear a bip when trying to load table, but it won't load. When I try to add to VP table path, the same problem occurs.

tanin
Post your settings.ini and visual pinball.xml and we can review it. What resolution is your backglass monitor? My backglass is 1440x900. I checked the log after running both FP and VP. Administrators Dazz Posted March 8, 2014 Administrators Share Posted March 8, 2014 PinballX is the solution Never answer someones question regarding one thing with a completely unrelated response... Try to answer the persons question and if you don't know the answer then stfu. Obviously he knows which product is the far superior of the two and wants to use it even though it requires a little more knowledge to setup. If you want to answer PinballX support questions; then feel free to in the PinballX section. Don't troll HyperPin threads in doing so. So, Finally I got everything sorted out and downloaded for both VP and FP. I just finished setting up Hyperpin and I'm having two problems: 1. I get an error saying "cannot find undefined" followed by table name. I noticed in the settings.ini file that for Future Pinball you have to set two paths, one for the exe and one for the tables while for VP you only have to set the exe path. Is this correct? 2. For FP, I hear a bip when trying to load table, but it won't load. When I try to add to VP table path, the same problem occurs. 1. Leave your EXE in the settings.ini as VPinball.exe. Rename your VP Executable file (VPinball 9.2.1 rev904.exe) to just VPinball.exe 2. Do not change the backglass resolutions in the HyperPin settings.ini. Leave them as their default at 1280 x 1024. Now, some backglass won't show while in Hyperpin UI. Also, when I press ESC to quit a table, it won't quit directly to HP, but will show me the classic VP screen where I need to choose between 3 options. When I choose quit, it quits back to HP, but HP will not work and I have to manually end task for fplaunch.

Try setting your exit key to "E" instead of ESC in FPLaunch FP also causes problems, but when I exit with the menu(via the e key), it works. Any ideas? Also, do I need to install autohotkey? Content Provider gtxjoe Posted March 9, 2014 Content Provider Share Posted March 9, 2014 2 choices for exiting: 1) Set exit button to E. Set fplaunch and hyperpin to use E for exit. VP will use ESC to exit to vp editor 2) Set exit button to ESC. Set flpaunch and hyperpin to use ESC. Go into VP Preferences->Key and check "disable ESC key". Use Q exit to VP editor

Content Provider gtxjoe Posted March 9, 2014 Content Provider Share Posted March 9, 2014 If you installed FPlaunch correctly, in settings.ini you should have an [FPLaunch] section, make sure, it has this exitKey=Esc
tanin
It is working, thanks. But I think the new version just changed the exit method. Instead of directly exiting when you're playing a table, it shows you a menu from which you can exit. Last thing. When I use an instruction card, and then quit HP, the focus.exe stays open and I keep hearing a bip sound. I have to "end task" focus.exe in order to solve this. What might be causing this? Content Provider gtxjoe Posted March 9, 2014 Content Provider Share Posted March 9, 2014 You sure do ask a lot of questions, but at least you are making progress just kidding here... ask away if you really do need help. Hyperpin/FPLaunch exit - if you press and hold the e button, you will see a 3 second exit countdown start. That let's you exit the table without a menu Not sure about your second question. Hopefully someone will chime in on that .
