Internal DMD Display - "Debugging" screen toggle

Since Beta 8 is not playing nice with external DMD positioning (at least in my case), i'm increasingly using the internal display.

Mostly successfull, but with TMNT 1.4 the "debugging screen" (for the lack of a better term) is always visible. I was scrolling through the control options but none seems to adress the problem. What am i missing here?

Hit F1 in game, uncheck show dmd window, save, restart

Thanks, but unchecking the (internal) dmd window wont help me much here.

I guess i have to explain what "is not playing nice" means, since the suggestion is about the external.

2 screen config, full dmd on the second. screens and external dmd ini is set up correctly. This was working perfectly fine until upgrading to 10.8.0-x.
The virtual DMD is loading (most of the time), but it isn't honouring the config placement and shows like in the picture below. Ie rendering outside the screen. If i maximize the window it maxes to the Screen1.
In a dry MIME run i ensured the correct positioning on screen2 and checked the ini about it.

Although i want to find the problem and setting up the internal DMD window is a bit more fiddly, i'm good with using the internal window for now.

EDIT: running VPinMAME v3.6-822-66be20f / DMD-Extensions v2.2.1
both 32/64-bit

Ok, found the solution, the problem is still unclear.

saving the position from within VPinMAME (what i called a dry run eralier),  the position saved is what i would expect at 38xx (since i run landscaped 4k)

ex. Flintstones

[fs_lx5]
virtualdmd left = 3954
virtualdmd top = 521.333333333333
virtualdmd width = 784.666666666667
virtualdmd height = 178

This coordinate is off the screens and therefor not rendered

The actual position is

[fs_lx5]
virtualdmd left = 2610.66666666667
virtualdmd top = 296
virtualdmd width = 577.333333333333
virtualdmd height = 180.666666666667

Not clear what is happening here. But this has been introduced in some of the latest updates

For someone in the same position do the following to make the DMD visible:

maximize (virtualDMD) Window (Taskbar)

tick Ignore Aspect Ratio (right click the virtualDMD window)

untick Ignore Aspect Ratio - shrink into its ratio

restore (Taskbar)

move the virtual dmd to its place

save position, this time the save is in the correct position
