tjc02002
Any chance to get the Pin2dmd to input alphanumeric or even numeric display information from games like Funhouse or whirlwind or maybe even cyclone where it has 2 numeric and 2 alphanumeric displays on a single display board. Seems fairly simple to interpret the digits and segments and just display the actual scores as well as other colorized display content. It's definitely more involved than the current methods. Content Provider lucky1 Posted October 27, 2017 Content Provider Share Posted October 27, 2017 For real pinball machines ? It is already done for virtual pinball machines, so no problem from the output side, but no idea how to interface the input side from real machines. I don´t have one of those but maybe @Steve45 who owns a Funhouse is interested to make a little research.
Sibi
For real machine you can do easy conversion with led segments. Dimension of pin2dmd are not compatible with old displays.
SpaceGambler
Sounds like a great idea and verging on DMD conversion for alpha-numeric machines Would be great to be able to display score information and then add animations that are triggered by score events
